Polarisation mark must be upwards while antenna grid is in horizontal (for vertical polarisation). If you want horizontal polarisation ...

Re: MUM Europe 2014 - Italy, Venice, February 20-21

That was stupid answer, Normis. Of course, people are coming for the MUM. I dont want to drive 500km for lottery. All I want to say is that you should stick to scheduled times, not to cancel presentation (or two) and then change time of next presentation (or lottery). Because, some people are maybe ...

It is not hardware related problem. I use API to make day/night bandwidth schemes. I found that if I turn off (disable) API, everything is working just fine. Problem solved.

Re: CCR1036-12-4S vs PC Server

ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution + Core i7 + Some quality Intel i350 cards would be the best solution for PPPoE server. We had around 3000 dynamic queues (pppoe users) on one machine, CPU is below 20% but there is problem with router os and we splited it into multiple pppoe servers. It would be great if you...

Re: Ppppoe-connection server and freeze big download

I found that the best performance/compatibility is when mtu is set to 1360. You should do: /ip/firewall/mangle add action=change-mss chain=forward comment="MTU change to 1360" disabled=no new-mss=1360 passthrough=yes protocol=tcp tcp-flags=syn tcp-mss=1361-65535 also, RB1000 performance is best with...

Hi. The solution is simple. You have to put three rules into Interface/Bridge/Filters : add action=accept chain=forward comment="" disabled=no mac-protocol=pppoe-discovery add action=accept chain=forward comment="" disabled=no mac-protocol=pppoe add action=drop chain=forward comment="" disabled=no T...

Re: limite number of wireless user

Yes, you can. In Advanced tab under Wireless, there is Max Station Count (default is 2007), change it to 50.

Or from console:

/interface wireless
set 0 max-station-count=50

where 0 is number of your wlan card, (maybe 1 or 2 if you have more than 1 card)

Re: consistent low rx-rate on station-bridge R52Hn

This R52Hn is a piece of s.it. Better use R52nM it is cheaper and much better. Distance of 10km is not a problem with 24db antennas. Signal approx -60. I had similiar problems with R52Hn and I changed them all for R52nM. The problem is gone.

Did you change power supply? Are there high power cards on RB433AH? Use 24V, 1A power adapter, use max 2 high power and 1 normal power card (2xR52H, 1xR52).

There are frequency convertors that raise up 5ghz to 10ghz or even higer . You can use standard CM9 card with freq convertor to get 10GHz. Also Ubiquity has new product PowerBridge M10 that operates in 10Ghz spectrum..

it is between main an aux connector. unsolder it and solder a wire directly to main or aux connector. you will lose tx-a rx-b but the card will be usable until next lightning.

On router 2 (the one in the middle) did you put wlan1 (IN) and wlan2 (OUT) in a WDS bridge? If not, try. Also try to change freq. for wlan1 and wlan2 not to be the same. For example Router A --5180mhz-- Router B --5280mhz-- Router C

Re: What can I do to speed up

You cant get speeds higher than 100mbit on SXT, because SXT has fast-ethernet port, not gigabit. Stone obstacle is big problem for 5Ghz. I suggest to use hammer and drill a hole in a stone wall and connect client and omnitik with cat5 cable (distance 20-30m is not a problem). This is the only soluti...

Re: Problem without explanation?

Towers B and C are stations to Tower A. With same configuration and hardware you will get your max if you turn on nstreme or NV2 protocol. You will get improvement, maybe this solves your problem. The best solution is to put another 5Ghz card in 493A (Tower A) and one more antena directed to tower B...

Re: Which antenna & RB for basestation?

50 users on a single AP is not a good idea, so better split it into 2 if you can. RBSXT is good if distance is max 2km, and you can make your 20mbit/20mbit. For longer distances you must use dish 2x2 MIMO antennas and RB711 dual chain model for example. This is from my experience. If I helped you a ...

Re: [ask} change omni 24ghz and grid 2.4ghz and sector 2.4gh

Of course you can use your equipment, but your antennas will work with best effiecency on specific channel (probably 2.4Ghz channel 6, as a center channel), on any other frequencies you will lose few decibels. If you have clients that have regular CPE units (not Mikrotik), they can not connect to yo...
