FT232 works with RB750UP

This is not a question, but a statement simply for the Google juice. :-) For the record, the USB to TTL serial cable found at Little Bird Electronics ( CAB-12977 ) works beautifully with RouterOS. I'm able to use it for an embedded electronics project where I can use a MikroTik RB750UP to expose a T...

RB450G temperature monitoring

We have two sites that have an RB450G in an outdoor cabinet that has a thermostat that kicks in fans at or above 50°C. What we are finding is that one of the RB450G’s is reporting a rather high temperature — today over 65°C, and during the week up to 72°C, despite having felt the case to be cool to ...

RB750GL USB

I know the RB750GL product page doesn't talk about USB, and the only (two) search hits are in the negative, but could anyone explain why I see this? [admin@RB750GL] > system resource usb print # DEVICE VENDOR NAME SPEED 0 1:1 RB400 EHCI 480 Mbps I haven’t opened my case up to look, but is there a se...

Re: DHCPv6-PD via PPPoE client on RouterOS 5.9

Adding address from pool to interface is in our TODO list.
I can’t actually test it (please give me access to 5.10rc2 as well!), but I would have thought the “from-pool” option would allow you to do that?

Re: RouterOS v5.9 released

I'm trying to grab packet sniffer reports from RouterOS and a working WIDE-DHCPv6-CLIENT install so that you guys can compare, but I'm not having much luck getting Packet Sniffer on RouterOS to actually capture useful packets. You should be able to set up a mirror port on the Routerboard under the ...

Re: RouterOS v5.9 released

That makes 3 of us. Please let us know how you go. Make that four Internode users trying to get DHCPv6-PD going What I notice is that the router does not get a SLAAC address on the PPPoE interface. This should work whether I use DHCPv6 or not. This means that the SLAAC-based dynamic /64 that Intern...
