L2 vlan help needed

Hi, I have 3x l2 services between 2 parts of my network as seen in the image attached. I am able to run 2x L2 (10g Service and the 2G service) fine as the ports are isolated on the right side crs317 and the vlans terminate on a separet interface. However, attempting to get the 1G service up creates ...

Re: client failure : get CA capabilities

Upgrading the Router OS solved the problem. Still did not receive an answer about what it means though.

client failure : get CA capabilities

Hi everyone

Do any of you know what this means? client failure : get CA capabilities. I am seeing this in the log window. I am worried as this is a router on a active network serving users with pppoe services.

Re: VRRP failover

Hi Guys Just to add to this thread. I have used the scripts that was added by peydude (thanks :) ). But I needed some error checking built in as there are a few shortcomings. For instance. If an interface on the backup goes down , that vrrp interface goes into master and runs on-master script and ca...

Throughput indescrepency

Hi Guys I have a strange problem. Doing bandwidth tests from router a to router b gets about 40Mbps tcp one way. Doing tests from router b to router c gets about 40Mbps tcp one way as well. Doing tests from router a to router c gets about 25mbps tcp one way. So it goes on. The further the tests, ie,...

Re: New Network map only says 'loading'

My workaround for this exact same problem is to add a submap on an existing map and then select new map. Just delete the submap on the current map.

Re: Slow upload , but with proxy enabled it is fast

Yes..It does seem to be OS/application related. Whatever it is, setting up a proxy in the browser bypasses it. I guess this can be a lesson for anybody that will visit the forum with a similar problem.

Thanks

Re: Slow upload , but with proxy enabled it is fast

I am starting to think it might be related to the Operating system/application on the machine. No matter where I setup a proxy on the network( hop1 or hop 6) I get good uploads. No proxy, bad upload. But I have received complaints regarding uploads from multiple users, some are natted behind a PPPoE,...

Re: Slow upload , but with proxy enabled it is fast

I have tested both tcp and udp. Its a strange problem that I have never encountered even though I have this type of setup in 3 other sites. So it seems like when the router makes the connection(proxy mode and bandwidth tests) it will run full speed, but when the conenction is made from the LAN side ...

Slow upload , but with proxy enabled it is fast

Allright, I have a strange problem that started on a RB1200. Bandwidth tests to this router via a wireless network with many hops show good download/upload speeds. Bandwidth tests from this router via a fibre network shows good upload/download speeds. The problem is when we are doing bandwidth speed...

Re: Configure Mikrotik transparent router

I believe that your 10 network does not have a route back to your 192.168 network. I probably sees a ping coming from 192.168 and then sends a reply out to the internet side.

Set address list to value of ospf area

Hi I am trying to create a script that will put in an addresslist based on the value of the ospf area. This is how far I have come. "/ip firewall address-list add address=[ /routing ospf area range get number=0] list=test" This is the error I get "value of address must have ip address before '/'" /r...

Re: VPLS over PPPoE

I am not sure. I have set MPLS mtu to 1522 and tried on 1512. However I have done a vpls tunnel between a highsite and an interconnect with a pppoe access concentrator and was working fine. I just cant get the obove working. Will wait for an answer from support.

Has anyone been able to get VPLS working over a PPPoE connection? The VPLS tunnel is running , but I cannot seem to bridge the 2 CPE's. Cant even ping across the VPLS tunnel. Any help will be appreciated
