Your script count should clear after reboot.
If not, there's a work around. You can can run a scheduler on startup to remove the script and then undo to set the counter to 0.

Re: Mikrotik Routerboard 751U-2HnD wireless problems

I have issues with different laptops that are using power saving modes being unable to use the wifi from the MikroTik APs. I don't have any problems with Ruckus, Dlink or Panoptic. Is there any way MikroTik can fix this?! This is very inconvenient as the majority of laptops come pre-configured with ...

Re: Power Issues with RB711ua-2hnd

Not sure if my top post was clear. I have some laptops that work and others that don't. When the laptop is not plugged into a power source it is unable to transfer data through the MikroTik. In the MikroTik AP everything looks good. Solid SNR with a 90-100 CCQ. The packet loss is really high though....

Power Issues with RB711ua-2hnd

I have a problem with intermittent packet loss when connected to this AP. I found that when my laptop's power is plugged into a wall outlet everything works fine. If my laptop is running off battery and the wifi power adapter settings is on anything but maximum performance the connection drops left ...

Re: DHCP/Hotspot question

We don't allow 2 IP's per MAC because our monitoring servers when touching the equipment are for some reason pulling the DGW address and this takes all of our equipment offline untill the DGW address is removed from the host list. I found that DHCP leases renew after 50% of the lease if the user is ...

Morpheus,

I have the same issue. Were you able to find a resolution?

Thanks!

DHCP/Hotspot question

Would someone be kind enough to explain the DHCP process for me? When is lease renewed? Are address taken from the pool in sequential order or does it always pull addresses from the top/bottom or random? Is there a way to delete the dhcp lease when a user idle times out? Can a lease be renewed if so...

Re: Problems accessing equipment through NAT

Apparently the router board just needed a reboot after uploading the new router OS.

Everything looks to be functioning normal again.

Thanks,

Problems accessing equipment through NAT

I upgraded and ever since I'm having issues reaching equipment set up through NAT in the firewall.

Also, I use a program tcping that no longer functions with the new OS.

Is there any way of downgrading back to v5.20?

Thanks

Re: Using RB750UP as a POE switch

Thanks for the reply kev.

I ended up just bridging all 5 ports and setting up each ethernet interface with Horizon.

Worked like a charm!

Using RB750UP as a POE switch

I'm currently looking to use the MikroTik RB750UP as a POE switch.

I'd like to try and set up something similar to port based vlan.

Is there anyway to separate the ports without using vlan id's?

Thanks!

Re: Access Point and VLAN configuration.

I had the DHCP addressing applied to the bridge instead of the VLAN interface.

Once I switched them everything started working.

Still a little confused how the other AP was able to work though.

Re: Access Point and VLAN configuration.

Thanks for the prompt response. Gateway settings are listed below. When I use a different AP from a different manufacturer everything works great. Which lead me to believe it was a problem with my configuration on the AP. # software id = 7DB5-G7W0 # /interface bridge add admin-mac=00:00:00:00:00:00 ...

Access Point and VLAN configuration.

I'm currently trying to configure a MikroTik RB711UA with multiple virtual APs running off of separate VLANs. I have a MikroTik 450G as the gateway. I have the VLANs configured on the bridge and I applied a hotspot to each VLAN. I'm trying to direct users connecting to different SSIDs to a specific ...

MikroTik 411 AP as a router.

I was looking for a way to make a 411U AP into a router. I would like for it to have it's own Hotspot and DHCP server. However, beings the wireless and ethernet port are bridged I receive my DHCP address from the main router 450G. When the wireless and ethernet are not bridged I am unable to get out...

VLAN on Virtual AP

Hi everyone, I have a MikroTik RB450G as a gateway and a MikroTik RB411u as an access point. Ethernet 1 on the 450G is connected to the internet and ports 2-5 are in a bridge which the AP is connected to. I would like to set the AP up with multiple SSID's and direct users to different hotspots. VLAN...

I currently have a MikroTik set up with 2 different WAN interfaces and 2 different Hotspots. I'm using 2 public addresses from the same subnet. What I'm trying to do is route traffic from Hotspot1 out through WAN1 and hotspot2 through WAN2. I have 2 seperate bridges with 2 sepearate DHCP pools. Ever...

Re: How to seperate 2 wan for 2 differnt hotspot!!?

Thanks for the information! Everything works great when authentication is disabled. I have two seperate Hotspots going through 2 seperate WANs. When authntication is on, Hotspot1 works flawlessly going out through DGW1. When I plug into Hotspot2 with authentication on I can see in the Radius server ...
