RouterFleet - Centralized backup and management (OpenSource)

Hello everyone, I'm excited to share a project I've been working on, RouterFleet , designed initially for Mikrotik devices. RouterFleet is an open-source web interface aimed at simplifying the backup and centralized management of Mikrotik routers and network equipment. Key Features: Centralized back...

Capsman reduce txpower - what value?

Hello! I have a capsman network at home using 4 CAP ac (RBcAPGi-5acD2nD) I have a lot of overlap and I believe that reducing the tx power would improve the device roaming between the caps. I took a look on the Wiki, and I couldn't find a proper value to use, actually, there was a lot of warnings reg...

Re: Wireless interfaces randomly unavailable using capsman

I like mikrotik. It's a great option with quality and an affordable price.

But yes, maybe I will have to write some kind of monitoring script to reboot the caps if one of the interfaces stops working or disable the capsman setup and go back to a regular AP setup (I don't know what is worse here).

Re: Wireless interfaces randomly unavailable using capsman

This issue is still happening, I still can't find no information regarding of why the interface stops working. It simply stops working randomly (different access points and different radios 2/5Ghz) Any other ideas of what to look for? I don't like to say, but I guess that I will need to schedule a &...

Re: Wireless interfaces randomly unavailable using capsman

Is the access point mounted on the wall or on the ceiling? No R means that there are no devices connected to this interface Both access points are mounted to the wall. Early in this morning, when I had this issue, the 2ghz interface had stopped but the 5ghz interface was working without any issue o...

Wireless interfaces randomly unavailable using capsman

Greetings! I'm using capsman with two cap-5ac. I did noticed that sometimes one or both interfaces (2ghz or 5ghz) on any cap just stops working. The clients get disconnected and the interface does not come back by itself. I need to login on the routerboard and manually reboot. After the reboot, it w...

Re: CAPsMAN provisioning - what am I missing?

I've found the issue. Because I connected the CAP the first time before making the provisioning rule, it would not apply retroactively. I had to delete all the "remembered" interfaces and CAPs in the remote cap, then when it checked in again for the "first time", it pulled the p...

Re: IPV6: can't ping external hosts from internal network

Hello!! I just noticed that I have exact the same problem. Yesterday I made a post about my issue. I will link here just because I already posted my configuration and the full issue there. (I don't want to hijack the thread, I will be monitoring both). https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&am...

Help troubleshooting ipv6

Hello there, finally I received ipv6 at my home and decided to learn more about it. I've followed the advice on this topic: https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=136994#p674995 and had some "partial success". Describing my scenario: 2 ISPs connected to my Mikrotik and one LAN. I'm usi...

Re: OSPF error

I don't really remember what versions I was using, but let's say that: I was running version 6.14 and configured ospf. Working without any issues. Then I upgraded the 4 routers to version 6.22 and ospf broke on router3. After a while, I tried to upgrade to version 6.24 or 26 just to check if the pro...

Re: OSPF error

Hello, I already removed the ospf configuration of the 4 routers and reconfigured from scratch. Same issue. Now I followed your suggestion and tested without authentication, but the issue stills there. A bit unrelated: I tested with RIPv2 between the 4 routers and it is working as expected. The inte...

Same issue here with mikrotik-6.20.iso

Re: Opening Multiple WinBox Windows (Instances) In Mac OS X

I'm using Crossover to run winbox.
To open multiple instances, I have multiple winbox executables:
winbox1.exe
winbox2.exe
winbox3.exe
It's not the best solution but it works :P
Same should work if using wine

Re: Moving Heavy users to secondary internet link

Hello ffernandes,

They do not have static ips. It's a "public" network without any hotspot, just dhcp.

Thank you

[solved] Moving Heavy users to secondary internet link

Greetings, I have a 2 internet links connected to my mikrotik, both are 10mbps. The main uplink have monthly traffic limitation, and the secondary link is unlimited but with a very inferior quality. Today, when I find someone using a lot of bandwidth, I manually create a mangle rule to apply the sec...

Question about license

Greetings, Planning to implement the mikrotik hotspot in RB750GL. I was checking the wiki page for license questions and I can see that the usermanager active connections is limited for 20 on level4. This means that I can only use hotspot for 20 simultaneous users? Do I need to upgrade to level 5? I...

Greetings, I have a very strange issue with a RB750GL. I can connect to winbox from the internet, it does resume my last session, I can see the values, but every new window comes empty and in a few seconds I receive the message "router has been disconnected". If I try to uncheck "Load...

Hi dasiu I got this same tplink working with wds with other routers using the same configuration on it (even using openwrt). There's not many options in wds setup of tplink. Maybe I'm doing something wrong on my mikrotik configuration, I already tried a lot of options, but couldn't figure out what w...

Hello Dasiu Thanks for the input, I enabled the logs as you said, but couldn't find any extra message on logs (at least now the routers aren't failing pings between them). I can only see the connection message from tplink. I still can't receive dhcp or connect from the clients behind tplink (if I se...
