Re: RB-450G performs auto Fail-Over with the same gate way.

I support your Idea, Girith. STP can be used for my project but the problem is does STP in Mikrotik Router compatible with CISCO and Zyxel switch L2 or not.

Please share me the command and configuration.

Re: RB-450G performs auto Fail-Over with the same gate way.

isn't STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) doing what you need? My FiberOptic Network Ring is core network with redundancy link so, STP is used to protect Loop (Broadcast Storm in the Network ring). And we use it to distribute our service to subscribers. Now, i want my subscriber to be redundancy by Mikrot...

All Drop Points are Layer2 switch configured as STP and they have management IP Address but different VLAN from VLAN that we providing to Mikrotik.

Re: How to increase Signal to Noise

Thank you both for your advice. Now, i replace to use point-to-point ( SXT-to-SXT) and i can get the best result 100Mbps/100Mbps.

Omnitik can be used for small size data transferring; it cann't be used for LOCAL LOOP application.

I tried to survey and increase the pole to 6m + building 10m for subscriber far from BS 2Km. Omnitik is installed on the building ...

Re: Mikrotik Package Types

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:System/Packages Go to the DL page and chose your model family using the Devices pulldown. It will redirect you to the set for the appropriate architecture. e.g. RB700 Series and RB400 series are both mipsbe. I have installed already and now it works. Thanks TJC
