I have only one Squid Cache Server on my network . I have solved to split youtube videos with mikrotik , but not other video sites and is working perfectly.

This is not an easy thing . it depends on your bandwidth , but rb750gl cant held all that.

First you have to be sure if squid I working without miktotik . I have a working squid server with 2tb , he caches perfectly , but I worked relly hard to make It work. My advice is not forward the http... etc. just create a simple firewall mangle rule to forward port 80 request (http) to squid proxy...

I don't undrstand why mikrotik didn't include Global in & out in new versions . I use marked packets from layer7 firewall and then include them in global out simple queues , youtube & facebook etc .

I have tested in RB SXT , wireless works well but the Cpu goes at 100% , after downgraded 5.21 the problem is resolved. Also in RB 751U in queues the tx is not shown , global out not exist , high cpu usage , after downgraded problems are resolved

Do you have More details of your network ?

It's dificult to catch this trafic , in your way of managing. Try to scan every user's ip in details (if you have static ip's) one by one and to search for that traffic . If not you need to put a managed switch between clients not just a simple switch or mikrotik router to catch this . Did you reset...

Did you know what happend to my rb450g after one year awesome performace in hotspot 5.14 , after upgraded to 5.20 then reboot ! Boom ,no dhcp, no static dhcp leases , no 100 hotspot users . Happend like someone deleted them.

In hotspot to remind my costumers I use advertasing. I've created a profile with advertising , modificated the page and I passed the client to reminder profile.every 30 minutes this page was shown to my client.

The same thing happend to my two routers , one RB 750 and one RB751 . They were working fine couple of months but with the 5.13 version they're not working any more. All my configuration were lost .

I have a problem with my Isp , 10 Down 2 Up has some problems with the upload . i have another dsl line that has 2 Up . can someone give me any example how to use 10 Down from the main line and 2 Upload from the second line .

He bypasses the login page so he doesen't needs to be loged,
you now can control his bandwidth by the queues . I have resolved my 100% Cpu Load , and sometimes the board restarts.
I think this is a virus on user PC but I'm not shure.

I had the same problem in my hotspot server
I fixed it by making the user an static ip,bypassing the hotspot page and then queuing it.
Maybe this helps

Tried this but no sucess. From my computer i can see others computers. In main firewall i've blocked ports 135-139 & 445 tcp & udp. are they the ports that block that? I don't use wireless AP only 40 lan users. Do i need to make something else to work this?

In Firewall i've putted many rules incl antiviruses etc .
So you mean if i activate the firewall option in Bridged ports all trafic in the brides will pass through the Firewall? And my problem with the users to not show each other (who is on line and windows shares) will be firewalled?

It WILL go through the firewall if you put the ports into BRIDGE, and then check the box for the bridge to use IP FIREWALL.

Do you have any sample about this?

toni17, users on the same network will connect directly to each other, and will not go through the router internal process, so firewall will not work.

I know. I've tried this by the firewall a lot of times, it doesent works.
Does it have any way do cofigure the rb750 as a managed switch?
