PW48V-12V85W - which CCR are r2 CCRs ?

Hi, I wonder, if somebody can shed light into this. Mikrotik now offer a -48 - +48 V PSU for, what they call "r2" CCR routers. The funny part is, that the Mikrotik.com page references CCR1036-8G-2S+ and CCR1036-8G-2S+EM as related products (which would be great), but pictures in the brochu...

Re: Report "Delegated-IPv6-Prefix" attribute for PPPoE

For anyone looking for alternatives (on x86 hardware), VyOS now includes accel-ppp which supports Delegated-IPv6-Prefix. Jup. I'm already testing accel-ppp on Edgerouter Infinity and also looking at cross-compiling the package for Edgerouter X. Mikrotik seem to have no interest in the need of their...

Re: v6.43.14 [long-term] is released!

No IPV6 on PPPOE clients after upgrade to 6.43.14 and 6.44.2. Sad... My problem is on the server side. Does DHCP work at all ? Can you do a configuration export or does it hang ? IPv6 on PPPoE would be affected by the DHCP problem above, as it relies on DHCPv6 pushing the IPv6 details over PPPoE. /M

Also, if Mikrotik RouterOS allows the cache to eat up more memory than what is available on the device, then that is a bug. Simply because the device knows what amount of ram it has to begin with. First of all, you didn't specify which version of the RB2011 you have, but ... A RB2011UiAS should be able of about 350 Mbit/s with full routing/firewall etc. With enabled fast-path (https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Fast_Path) even more, but that has impact on some firewall rules etc. You also ...

Doing QinQ in Software on a CRS317 is not very efficient though, when it comes to 10Gbit/s traffic. At 1-2 Gbit/s traffic, we'll be at CPU maximum.

Modular PSUs like on the 72-core CCR definatly would be better.

My ISP is using ipv6 now with PPPoE, but the 5.0 beta ppp client wont get the automatically assigned IP? Is this a known issue? Be sure that you are connecting from the lan interface when you do it. In certain cases (dunno if in all), the wireless interface will have to be reconfigured from scratch.

Downgrade from 3.x to 2.x from remote is not advisable, unless you've access to the lan port from remote.
