Re: Severe port flapping on CRS328-24P-4S+ and CRS317-1G-16S+

You have two options. Either you configure NAT and use the Chateau as a router, or configure LTE passthrough to Ether1, but that would make your router kind of useless, you could have opted for a cheaper device that does not have routing and wifi built in. https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/spaces/ROS/p...

You are completely right. It should be enough with read, to just read. and should be enough with write, to upgrade. But there are deep running issues in the policy system everywhere, we have to re-make the whole thing.

No, we do not plan to implement annual licensing or any other licensing changes. Device mode, as clarified in the manual, is meant to protect home users who have their routers taken over by attackers and are using them for botnet purposes. EVEN THOUGH we have no known security issues in RouterOS AND...

Don't paste and run scripts that you "found on the internet", it is dangerous. Start by pasting only the script in the console. Does it work there? It won't and you will see why. you have copied all kinds of random characters and linebreaks (\n), the script has to look something like this:...

Re: I purchased a CHR license. Why is it still showing as expiring in /system/license/print ? [SOLVED]

This is documented.
CHR licenses are stored in the cloud, the virtual router does not know, whether you have moved or revoked this license. This is why at "deadline" date, it will check status. If license still valid, it will again extend this date to the next check date.

Yes, first change to Channel "Upgrade" and upgrade to that 7.12 version, after that, newer versions will become available.

RB2011UiAS is okay with v7
RB2011L series might be too slow, but you have the better model.

Re: 📣 WinBox 4 is here 📣

How frequently does Winbox check for updates? No notification until now.
So basically 24h since release of beta4. My running Winbox instance still does not show update notification on Linux client.
On launch! Relaunch it.

If DMG installer "did not offer" it just means it's a Beta and trusts that user knows how to install apps. Sorry. We will improve in future.

But you can do that - create new workspaces and name them with meaningful names. You can have 10 or 20, doesn't matter. Select the needed one when connecting, or even change to another one while connected.

Edit: OK so you want winbox to remember which workspace you used last

Saduff, we managed to repeat the issue. It does not crash the router, but there is high load and a delay, when the Workspace tries to load certain non-existing switch related windows. We are fixing it.

Edit: Although it turns out, this is a RouterOS bug, not winbox. I also added it to the list.

No auto reconnect or open in new window options. In v4 whenever the device needs to reboot, changing frequency in an AP for example, v4 closes and requires a manual restart. This is wastes time that most field techs don't have. Please re-instate. There is auto reconnect with a countdown and it works.
