Re: Going to be traveling, need advice on remote/vpn connection

if you bring a tiny router with you, like a mAP-lite, then you can configure the SSTP client on the router, and use all your devices through it. It can even work as a repeater, when the only internet is over wireless.

The connection from switch chip to CPU of CRS317 is not 1Gb/s, it is an internally connected bus and the speed is not documented.

Re: Tik App, MikroTik android utility ALPHA test

Current Tikapp is basically a Winbox copy. What else did you expect? By the way, I cannot find current wifi interface frequency - it's on Status page of WinBox, and in TikApp, there's no 'Channel' line in Status tab. how about wlan1 > Wireless > Frequency and also the Channel info in the Status tab

There are TONS of changes between those versions, it would be a massive help, if you could run sniffer at a working unit, and a non working one. See what is going on.

Limitations make the device conform with local law in your country. What kind of rules you have, I suggest you check, before working in the WISP field. It will come in handy. You can always check the logs. Also, like above poster said, tell us what you see in the Interface list of your router.

Another idea - 5GHz is much slower to appear after reboot, because of DFS regulations. It takes some time, so maybe wait a minute, and check again
