Re: Wireless Interface Area/Area-Prefix

This is a text field to help you group your wireless devices. You can then use access list and connect list, to limit where your devies connect, based on their "area" or location. So for example, enter "hillside" for some devices, then enter "seaside" for some other device, and in the AP settings, l...

Not true. Ask however much you need, SNMP will give information in one second or less, depends on the software. Please just test it, like I did.

Not possible and not planned, sorry. You should use SNMP monitoring tools for more advanced picture of your traffic. The graphs on the interfaces are for a quick overview of the current situation. Use any SNMP monitor for what you want.

That device works best as a switch, but it will work as a router/firewall as well, if you don't make the firewall too complex.

Probably yes, some vendors put their brand name on the boxes. You can most likely reinstall it to have a clean new version on there. Well to be sure, inspect the ports or if possible the board too (ask for more photos)

Re: Script to reduce Wi-Fi transmitter power on schedule/at night

You can simply reduce the TX power a little bit, while it still works satisfactory. An easy way to reduce power is to set antenna gain above zero. It will reduce tx power to compensate (even though you actually don't have a high gain antenna). Then it will be totally fine and safe.

Since the kit bridges two networks together, the units themselves don't need any addresses. As a pair, they can basically replace an ethernet cable between two devices (like two switches in two buildings). No need for any config.
