r50 and f24 can be seen there - it's only ssid and country.

still, OP needs to enable

/system logging add topics=wireless,debug

and check logs, when this disconnect happens.

Also, putting wireless router too close can cause strong interference. Keep a few meters distance.

It is because we changed the label of this version to longterm. Number of version is the same, but timestamp is different, so the software is confused. You have two options: 1. Change to long-term channel and upgrade to the newer, but identical 6.49.10 2. Change to Upgrade channel and upgrade to v7

it is a "status" that is assigned to an existing version.

They both of the same modem, so really just difference in antenna design. If your 10-20km to nearest tower, perhaps the LHG be better. But the ATL's 4x4 MIMO is more likely to be faster if just a few km away to nearest BTS/tower.

Like I said, the lack of RAM is not a problem.
There is no benefit for device with only 512MB RAM. You need 2GB to feel any difference.

64Bit OS takes up more space and can be even slower if you only have 512MB

Most likely your device was configured in a way that the ETHERNET port is firewalled, as it was meant to be connected to the ISP.

P.S: forget about v6. Everything is about v7 now for 2 years already. Time to move on. Did you already tell that to the department that runs the performance tests and puts the results on the products website? I think it is time to update them to v7 numbers, new products have them. devices that ship...

Detect internet constantly monitors if your router has internet connection and if it's reachable from outside. It is to give you clear information if all is OK with the internet. This feature has nothing to do with the smartphone app. Router itself is monitoring if it can access the internet.

In addition to having RouterOS as the vpn server, could we all use Mikrotiks as the vpn clients? Is there a limitation to how many clients one could setup with this? Having a public IP on the server isn't an issue for us, but I like the simplicity of Zerotier for setup and management. I would love ...

For windows you can use Wireguard app https://www.wireguard.com/install/
You will need to copy the config from your router, that is provided in menu "IP > Cloud > BTH wireguard"

Yes, if you are not sure if it's a bug and want somebody to do a sanity check - sure, forum is a good place. But please do not expect that MikroTik staff is monitoring all threads for possible bug reports. If you are sure it's a bug - report directly in our support system

Re: NEW FEATURE: Back to Home VPN

MikroTik relay is only involved in this case. IF you have public IP, it's just a direct wireguard, no relay. I have a valid dynamic IP which is obtained via PPPOE. However, BTH didn't have a direct IPv4 connection. 2023-08-08_02-26-21.jpg Apparently it was not possible to connect to it, maybe ISP b...

It is the same wireguard, just smarter - because if your home router is on private IP, it still works.

Re: Is Cap XL AC suitable for (protected) outdoor service ?

You specfically need the cAP because of 802.11ax ?
If the unit is inside a box, it should work fine, just a little bit worse signal due to box. Mounting can be any direction, radiation pattern is roughly spherical.

Re: NEW FEATURE: Back to Home VPN

You can. Winbox BTH menu shows the code to copy into your Wireguard app on your PC (also a QR code). It will use the fancy BTH when you do, so it will work behind NAT too, even if you don't use BTH app in your phone.

Newest v7.10.2 is just as "stable" as any v6. Calling something "long term" does not make it more stable. It simply means MikroTik will not be putting more changes into a version, only security fixes.
