Re: v6.35 [current] is released!

Hello, After 6.35 upgrade there are no more firewall events sent via email. I have a rule that logs all incoming SSH connections to a certain host. /ip firewall mangle print . . 2 ;;; log incoming SUCCESSFUL SSH connections chain=postrouting action=log protocol=tcp src-address=!192.168.1.0/24 dst-ad...

Re: SNMP OID for Qty of Wireless Clients Connected

this is the OID I use :

.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.1.1

It returns number of MAC addresses of the clients connected. It returns an error if no client is connected.
Cheers!

Re: CRS226-24G-2S+ Poor routing performance

Hammer, Thanks for the tests. I can confirm 6.15 has a much higher throughput on my CRS125-24G-1S than latest 6.27. I had some time to waste, so I went through all RouterOS versions from 6.15 to 6.27 to see where it broke : 6.21 is where I lose 50% from performance. Maybe someone from Mikrotik will ...

Re: RB850Gx2 - Release date?

Will we see RB850Gx2 this decade? Nice delay, dudes. One week more without news and I will be buying an Ubiquiti EdgeRouter. Next month I will try out the new Alix APU 1C4 together with RouterOS. :D The EdgeRouter series are also not so hot and fast as announced and spoken about as I really see it ...

Re: Email Logging firewall prefix

I'll post this for anyone searching for the same issue.
Looks like Prefix value in logging is not for matching log strings. It only appends value to log string.

So, I got the functionality wrong.

Email Logging firewall prefix

Hello, I want to receive emails only for certain firewall logs, so I have setup the following rules on my CRS125-24G-1S-RM rOS 6.11. /ip firewall mangle print from=2 Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid, D - dynamic 0 ;;; log incoming SUCCESSFUL SSH connections chain=postrouting action=log tcp-flags="" ...

Re: IPSec/L2TP VPN on Mikrotik behind NAT but with FQDN

it works. I tested this with a win7 client. IPSEC is on a NAT-ed synology NAS. On mikrotik, fw UPD port 500, 1701 and 4500 to the IPSEC vpn server. on windows client this also needs to be configured : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926179 set it to 2. I just spent a few hours trying to figure this ...

Re: DynDNS update script

Working code if any of you use no-ip.com as your DDNS provider.

:set vlocalurl ("http://" . "$username" . ":" . "$password" . "@" . "dynupdate.no-ip.com" . "/nic/update?hostname=" . "$hostname" . "&myip=" . "$currentIP")

Re: Availability of the RB751G

I'm searching for a b/g/n wireless router with giga ports, decent CPU power and at least 2x2 MIMO. This is exactly RB751G. If it only had a 680 mhz CPU. Is this 400mhz CPU overclockable?

Re: Availability of the RB751G

RB750GL also doesn't have such CPU, it has 400MHz. The CPU frequency is not the only measurement of speed, for any type of computer. I'm talking about RB750G not the inferior RB750GL model. RB750G was a killer at his specs. I think there was some pressure on Mikrotik to stop manufacturing and selli...

Re: Availability of the RB751G

i searched and searched. i'm sure I saw 680 mhz whn you first announced it 1 year ago. maybe it's just me. i thought it makes more sense to put a 680 mhz cpu in there. like the rb 750/750g. well ..you won't kick all soho router's butt anymore.

Re: Availability of the RB751G

I see on the site the CPU as being 400 mhz? Is this correct mikrotik? You advertised this product with a 680Mhz CPU. Well..first disappointment about this product.

Re: Availability of the RB751G

Really?!? This is a highly expected product. You'll kick all soho routers butt with this one. Why is taking so long to release it? Personally, i'll buy 5 when they'll be available. Any eta?
