Re: After update CAPsMAN is missing [SOLVED]

It is simple: CAPsMAN does not run so no CAP client can connect to it, thus whole wireless is down. In mean time, I solved problem. Found out that, after update, wireless package was disabled. After I enabled it CAPsMan showed up. Luckily, all settings were preserved so network quickly went up. Than...

After update CAPsMAN is missing [SOLVED]

I had Mikrotik v6.45.3 n RB2011UiAS.
Using Winbox I ran Update and install packages to v6.45.6.
After update I now do not have CAPsMAN.
Of course whole wireless network is down.
What should I do to regain CAPsMAN?

You cannot forward back to the same interface connection came into router.

But you create separate local network for server, with different IP range and connected to separate interface, and then forward there.

There is an option to set service name for pppoe server that is supposed to be used just for that you need.

If service name is specified in client settings that it will try to connect to specified pppoe server, not to the first one which answers.

There is no method which "just works". Something will still need to be configured, either PCC or Bonding or something else.
I would be happy if you just add an option that incoming connection goes out via the same interface it came in, regardless of other routing settings.

DHSP static leases are used to assing IP to spevific MAC, not username. If you want to attach IP to username then zou should set IP in user profile when you create it.

You did not specify how you set user accounts so it is hard to give more precise explanation.

If you need non LOS links, use much lower frequencies. There is free band somewhere around 800-900 MHz, and Mikrotik supoorts such wlan cards.
