It seems, when i press the reset button, the switch boots very quickly and does not go to default 192.168.88.1 and admin user.
Have you tried to turn device off, press reset button and then turn it on while keeping reset button depressed?

[faturerequest] Showing which VLAN-s port is member of

Checking what VLANs port is member of is not quite user friendly, as on VLANs tab user must move mouse over check boxes and wait popup to see which checkbox represents which port. Re: MikroTik CRS354 SwOS

If it is only a trunk port - only tagged traffic, then you are correct, the default VLAN ID should not be the same number as one of the actual VLANs. It would be good to have this mentioned in documentation. BTW, I highly recommend that you DO NOT use VLAN 1. Yes, it will work, but too many devices...

That does not concern me, just networking capabilities, so right now doubt is among CCR2004-16G-2S+ and CCR1016-12G.

CCR1016-12G has even less features bud 16 cores. I have no experience when number of cores matters more than clock speed or memory.

Re: Web browser timeouts on some sites only from ethernet lan

I do not think it is DNS related. ping, traceroute, tratecp work fine. IP address is resolved properly. DNS cache on router is turned on and all clients use that DNS (they get settings via DHCP). Actually, if some client is set to use other DNS it is forced to use local DNS cache. Router is set to l...

If you want to see how cheap plastic ethernet connector looks like just compare RB433AH with RB433GL. GL version is cheap one. Snaps easily.

Catch with routing through someone else is that all traffic has to go through his links this spending his resources. I guess that is the main reason why such routing is not in widespread use for 44/8 network - people cannot afford resources to share. Check out Italian and German hamnets. They use BG...

You have to set routing so each outgoing connection goes to matching incoming IP.

If you do not to that, all outgoing connections are going to default gateway.
