Re: SNMP

PaulsMT I am running 6.36.4 which is the most current version found where the interface counters are working. I am also running the latest beta version 6.39rc15 in a test environment which the counters are not running. Having 2 released non beta versions where this major feature is not working and n...

Re: SNMP

These have been things that have worked sense before the version 4 beta 3 days and stopped recently working. Last time I loaded a mib I believe the way to load it was using winbox to transfer the file to the /dude/files/mibs/ directory or something similar. Once the MIB.txt file is there it is read ...

Re: SNMP

Would anyone know if this is a bug or if the dude is changing the way snmp is handled and not to expect third party hardware to be read properly. I manage a mixed equipment handling equipment from several vendors.

Re: How to show Password

If the password is saved in the dude an easy way to do this is to modify the popup notification to include the password. It is "device.password" in the insert variable drop down. Then add that notification to the device in question and trigger an alert by adding a service that the device will not re...

Re: Dude background maps

In the past I have manually grabbed screen shots of google maps and uploaded the image files to the dude to use as backgrounds. Pretty sure there is no automated way of doing this.

SNMP

Having an issue with more recent versions of the dude being able to read snmp on cisco and ubiquity devices. The snmp interfaces will not populate but snmp walks will show information. Devices that do not show snmp interface information. Cisco 3560 & 2960 -- Only interface does not populate. Ubiquit...

Re: RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN, is Gigabit routing possible?

I just upgraded my internet and got the same problem with RB2011, so I am looking to replace it with CCR1009, but I'll need a wifi too. What will you recommend? Inside? I like the wAP AC a lot myself. They are good but if you want speed at a decent range the RB921 with decent antennas is the way to...

Re: The Dude, v6.37 [current] release.

The download page does not show a link to the release version of 6.37 dude client yet and connecting with an older client bombs out. Is there another place to get this?

Re: Windows Dude vs RouterOS Dude

CHR works great on an ssd drive. I have been using the Dude in both a production environment monitoring several hundred devices on a Kingston HyperX Predator drive. My testing environment monitoring a dozen or so on a standard ssd. We are using VSphere to handle the vm's and do not let anything othe...

Re: The Dude, v6.36rc test builds.

Yep, I didn't think to do that! :D Thank's! @abis 1. Run client as administrator when update is required. Otherwise it cannot overwrite certain files in program files. 2. We are aware that rc client is missing, it should be added back soon. This does not work on windows 10. I ended up having to fin...

Re: Cloud Hosted Router

Nunak To get this working in vsphere 6 I had to use the vmware standalone converter. First import the disk image and create a template on the esx server but do not power it on. Copy the folder to your computer and then run it in the converter application. After this I was able to re-size the vm hard...

Re: Pay for Dude

Thanks normis, of course, pass on a +1 to the dude dev team :) Maybe consider a 'ransom' style donation system, where we could all put a few bucks towards the features we want added/updated/fixed. You could use this funding in two ways. 1) Money = developer hours towards feature/fix 2) You could se...

Re: Vote for new DUDE features!

Something that would defiantly be helpful would be a setting where you would have the ability to cache equipment up/down notifications. Instead of every equipment down sending a separate email you set a timer where it caches the message for a user definable time and will send every piece of downed e...

Re: vlan public private networks

I have taken this down to the most basic config. Right now I have a rb411 with 2 vlans 1 & 99 both attached to eth1. To test this setup to see if I can communicate there is a dhcp client on both. On the cisco switch there are three vlans 1, 20, and 99 and all three run dhcp servers. The port that I ...

This could be done by assigning all ports to the switch inside interface and selecting each ethernet port and setting all to the same master port.
