if you want to bridge a single vlan then you can't have primary (ether) and vlan on primary bridged at the same time. bridging decision is performed before vlan untag decision in the input path. (it's kind of difficult to explain, just make sure you *either* bridge ether1 *or* vlan1 (on ether1), bu...

The switches are Cisco catalyst 2950 with ports in trunk mode. In the middle are a tower with two MT APs connected. The trunk traffic passes through without problems, but i need to reach all APs for management on Vlan 40. How to do this? Have tried to create a vlan 40 interface on ethernet1, but ca...

vlan41 on ether1 wont work while ether1 is a member of a bridge. Witelcom, no wonder they couldn't help you  *Just Kidding* Damn  Our first priority is to transport our trunks and second to give public access on a different vlan. Tried MT boxes VPN tunneling our trunks, but that didnt ei...

Virtual AP and Vlan

Hi! Have made two new interfaces on a MT AP. The first one was a Vlan interface on ethernet and a Virtual AP on Wlan2. Did also put theese new interfaces in a new bridge2. The ethernet port on the AP is connected to a trunk mode port on a Cisco Catalyst 2950. Did also assign an IP adress to the new ...

Hi We have our vlans hauled over 2 PTP hops with MT. Didnt have to configure any special things to manage that since MT supports transparent bridging. Have a Cisco Cat2950 at each end where the port has the simple cli of "Switchport mode trunk". This lets all vlans float through. To secure the links...

Many thankx to you guys :D Ipsec and Eoip would be preferred but as you mentioned we do not currently use encryption on our wired side of the trunk. Will try to test some configuration with virtual AP today. Is it actually needed to create a ssid for each vlan we just want to bridge from wired to wi...

Actually EoIP was the solution suggested from one source, but do MT support all we need or will we have to have more "boxes"?. Configuration examples for trunks are welcome :D
