Re: Feature Request: OpenVPN [ovpn] udp tunnels

Not to put a damper on things. But I have had all the support I have needed and haven't had a single box brick since I kept using and put out even more SonicWALL's. Yes they cost more. But for business stuff, it is worth not only my time, but reputation. When I was asking the MT vendors about what t...

Re: My network send spam?

I had that same exact problem a couple of years ago for a Justice Center I support and the ISP got my attention by turning off the Internet until they knew I was working on it. The network I setup there has a SonicWALL, going to some managed switches. But for you, it doesn't matter because the proce...

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

That is good to hear some positive feedback on the 951! Maybe I wont feel like such a freaking beta tester if I decide to buy more MT devices. I get all excited about MT. But when they have all sorts of problems and its hard to see them take ownership of them, its hard to put any real faith in them....

Re: RB751G FCC granted

Yeah, we all know about that :) Similarly though, have there been any production problems that we might potentially see with either of the RB751G or the new RB951-2N that will brick a box or make it run quirky and or in-efficiently? Maybe this model is better than that one? Or maybe your maybe your ...

Re: RB751G FCC granted

That is great! Been looking forward to that!!

Not to bring up old history, but are they rid of the problems the older 751's had with the xmas lights that bricked the box? (I still have a couple that are yet to be replaced.)

Thx

Re: Static IP issued from Bellsouth\ATT DSL configuration

Thanks for your help, worked like a charm. I simply disabled the DHCP Client on the router, added the PPOE client, changed the nat rule from ether1 to the PPPOE interface that was created and all is well. Made sure to use the "PEER DNS" and the "ADD DEFAULT ROUTE". Great Informa...

Those printscreens Pilgrim has on the wiki look really good. I always like looking at other posts because you never know what you're going to learn. While I was looking at other posts in the forum, I stumbled on this guys site again down below. Its the CLI (command line interface) version, but is tw...

Re: Tips for turorials, further reading and advice!

Nothing like being thrown in the deep end huh? lol I have just started using the Mikrotik's myself and have found the initial learning curve to be steeper than I thought it would be. I am certified in SonicWALL's and thought this would be a breeze, but found myself having to do alot of testing and r...

That sounds interesting. I can't help you on the multiple IPs. But if you search the forums, I remember seeing some good posts on having more than one public IP address. UPDATE: someone just posted asking for help with (4) public IP address, with access to (4) different LANs. It appears that you cou...

Man, talk about bitter/sweet!! Why bitter? Because nothing sucks more than when a new product doesn't work right because of some crappy problem beyond my control with the manufacturering process. Sweet, well, we all know why we are here: the Mikrotik OS is awesome! I am still iearning it, but have c...
