Since going all RouterOS for our routing, I've encountered a strange problem with TCP connections over IPSEC. We do large (eg. 30GB) http requests to a storage server (solaris based) which go over the VPN to our other storage server. However, the request keeps failing part way through - it times out...
I had a similar problem with an AH1100x2 - just over a year old - appeared to be working OK - upgraded to 6.1 and it just wouldn't load - firmware loaded (are you seeing *anything* on the serial port?) but wouldn't boot Discovered it was dodgy memory - swapped that out and all appears fine. Oh, and...

need more details, IPSec did not receive any changes that would brake that. try to enable debug logs on RouterOS and see what is happening. Also have had IPSEC problems 6.0 <-> 6.1 - downgraded the 6.1 side, and its now working again. However it was intermittent - ie worked fine since about midday ...
My problem is simple : the box is remote (it is in NYC, I'm in Paris), nothing's connected on port 13, and no one on site can provide help. I can see that routerOS 5.14 is out... Could it be that someone added a /system ssh regenerate-keys as it was suggested in one post ? Or does 5.14 includes som...
won't "/system reset" force key generation too?.. if you can restore configuration after /system reset-configuration, then most probably you are able to do the netinstall on the device. (Tunnel to closest device bridge the port (ether13) and install away) Unless, like me, the router is re...
:( OK might need a site visit. Actually, need another router, so we have a pair, so downtime isn't such an issue :) Must talk to management. However, I did look through all the documentation I could find and nothing I saw said that you had to be in ether13 for network boot... (that I could see, migh...
Unfortunately, the router is at a remote site, so I'll be doing a completely remote install (using a differently connected network connection), remote desktop to a windows machine and serial port connected to a linux machine. Might this cause problems with a netinstall? Is there something special ab...
would not recommend to downgrade below version it came from factory. Will try 5.9 and see if i loose any ssh keys as i am using ssh key logins extensively over my testing routers. OK, thanks - as I said before, only one of the two routers (purchased at the same time) is exhibiting this problem, so ...
reinstall using Netinstall. try to remember how you got to this state. What version did you use previously, did you have issues with ssh running that version? what happens if you upgrade form other version of RouterOS. Unfortunately, this is now in production :) working fine apart from this... We'r...
