Re: Connecting 2 omnidirectional anntenas to r52hn

The problem i was running into while connected with just one antenna hook up was the wireless ip cameras while being viewed are eating up all the bandwidth. i have tried 1 antenna hook up to each pci r52hn card (using 2 antennas in total). tried using just 1 card with chain 0 and 1 activated. tried ...

Re: Connecting 2 omnidirectional anntenas to r52hn

so i believe i set ht-tx/rx-chains to 0 and 1 to enable both chain 0 and 1 . what if i set tx to 0 and rx to 1. would that be a better through put than putting both to 0,1?

Re: Connecting 2 omnidirectional anntenas to r52hn

Thank you for your replys. currently one antenna is connected per pci card. when a heavy load is put over wireless, the data traffic becomes strained and we start losing packets. im going to try attaching both antennas to strengthen the throughput. now i guess its time for me to figure out how to en...

Re: Wifi speed and broadcast distance

Yes ive looked into the site along with directional antennas. due to the location on the few metal buildings i would need to put up p2p ap's with there own directional antennas, which isn't in the budget. the biggest problem i have with the network speeds being transferred over wifi would be my ip n...

Wifi speed and broadcast distance

At my marina, I have a routerboard 433 with 2 r52h PCI cards on a 10.0.0.0 subnet. running duel SSID, 1 secure with wpa 2 and one open. its set to 2ghzb/g/n 802.11 ap-bridge, with 2 ohmi antennas. Up close i get great signal with a 14mps down and 6mps up. 900 feet away i get 3 bars of signal with 2....

Re: Wireless Setup

I planned on pointing 192.168.88.1 to 10.0.0.1 in the linksys router or changing the 192.168.88.1 to 10.0.0.3 in the mikrotik. im not sure which is better. MikroTik RouterOS 5.9 (c) 1999-2011 [admin@MikroTik] > ip address print Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid, D - dynamic # ADDRESS NETWORK INTERFAC...
