Re: v6.38 [current] is released!

I've noticed with all of my HAP and 2011 Routers I tested on the bench, 6.38 gets really pissy with IPsec after it's running for a few hours. With each one, after about 2-3 hours it just stops passing IPSec traffic, and I can't go into IP/IPSec in Winbox or CLI, and I can't do a config export unless...

Re: 6.34 release candidate version topic!

Profile-defined Routes in PPTP/L2TP/OVPN connections aren't being sent to the correct tunnels What are profile-defined routes? Where exactly have you managed to define them? I push it out via RADIUS, but there's a field under PPP Secrets for you to define what to route to the far end of a tunnel on...

Re: 6.34 release candidate version topic!

And apparently rebooting the router again cleared up that little problem. Still concerning.

Re: 6.34 release candidate version topic!

Found a nice little bug in RC19.

Profile-defined Routes in PPTP/L2TP/OVPN connections aren't being sent to the correct tunnels

Site A is 192.168.146.0/24
Site B is 192.168.144.0/24
Site C is 192.168.1.0/24

Right now, it's pushing 1.0/24 and 144.0/24 to site C, and 146.0/24 to site A

Re: mAP 802.3af support

:( Ordered and installed a Poe switch last week just for the mAP and cAP that i have received today. I have been trying to get it to work for hours thinking my cabling was incorrect. Also the cAP does not seem to work with 802.3af. My POE 802.3af IP camera's work when plugging them into the switch....

Re: mAP-2n and RB951-2n outdated.....

I can't comment on the 951... but the mAP-2n is going to be a huge game-changer for a Threat Surveillance company I work for. The mAP2n is wonderful for use cases where, for example, we have 300 individual cameras we have to install that we want to report back to our VPN concentrators. We just shove...

Re: mAP 802.3af support

To finally reply, I tried a Mode B cable and still no go. Only powers up with a passive injector attached to it.

I can make this work with my intended deployment right now, but it really limits some of my future deployment ideas.

mAP 802.3af support

I have a question about the 802.3af support in the mAP. I picked up two of them in hopes I could use them in a specific deployment scenario. While they both boot up and work fine in hard power, USB power, and passive PoE... I cannot get them to power up at all off of a standard 802.3af PoE switch. S...

Re: Preventing Dynamic / Temporary VPN Interfaces

I'm not sure if this will help in your situation, but we do something similar for our VPN network. I resolved it for us by setting the client profile, under limits, to allow only one connection.

RouterOS Downloads missing from website?

Went to try and download the x86 ISO today to load up a new VPN concentrator, and all that is found on http://www.mikrotik.com/download/ Is the 6.19RC files, and a torrent for 'all'. I included a screenshot for reference. Are there any alternative download sites for 6.18 files, other than the includ...

ARP Limit question

The listed ARP limit for RouterOS is 8192... my question is, will the new Cloud Core Router allow for a higher arp limit, or possibly x86 RouterOS support for higher arp limits in future releases? We're looking at moving away from using an Alcatel 6850 for our backend management network(which has an...
