Hi Robert, responded to your email but it sounds like you've got this worked out for now. Just got the benefit of the forum. To use mpls with vpls you have to use a router that has an l2mtu of greater than 1526. So the 450g is out. Mikrotik has a page shower the various mtu's of all the models of ro...

Sorry I'm late to the game. I didn't get notified of replies to this thread. We are 100% ubiquiti radios and 100% mikrotik routers. Our network is fully routed and we use ospf. Would it be possible to use a service like dropbox to sync the file(s) across multiple machines. I'd love this. I also have never really looked in to how the program stores the sites.

Re: Public subnet routing on CCR1016

You have two choices,
1) use source and destination Nat to map the public ips to the private ones.

2) use the ccr as a bridge filter.

If I was me, I'd nat everything unless the block was actually routed to me.

I use mpls with vpls strictly to transport things around my network. I think of it like a routeable vlan that I bridge with physical interfaces or vlans. This way my customers don't see my network, just my edge router and that's it.

Terminate the cable connection on a physical interface, setup a eoip or vpls (if you're using mpls) tunnel and terminate it in your far end router, bridge it to a vlan and terminate the vlan on the customer cpe or router.
