CRS312-4C+8XG-RM Fan mod

Not sure if anyone else posted this but JayzTwoCents posted a quick mod that drastically reduced the fan noise on one of the CRS312 switches. The fans used were the Noctua NF-A4x20, at US$15 (retail) each these would easily get mikrotik into silent home use. I don't care to be honest, I am perfectly...

Hinting MTU of underlying link to EoIP tunnel

Is there any easy way to "hint" to an EoIP that the underlying link is a particular MTU (the data path the EoIP tunnel is passing over). I have an EoIP going over a switch to the where the MTU is running at 9000 (other services pass over this connection), the ISP themselves support higher ...

Router reboot due to watchdog

Good Day, Getting a router reboot on a CCR1072 via watchdog timer, its primarily a BGP Upstream peering router for us. The only weird thing I can think of is we happen to have a hurricane electric IPv6 peering on this router which is over an 6IN4 tunnel and we are BGP peering with Hurricane Electric...

Missing OSPF route

Good Day, I am receiving a route from an external peer which I am injecting into OSPF for our other routers to use. For one specific route it is being injected successfully but OSPF seems to be rejecting it (IXP is the source of the route for our network, AGZ is one of the routers OSPF peered with i...

Feature Request: Sort usermanager profiles

Good Day,

Since we can't search profiles in the user manager would it be possible to have this list sorted so we can easily find a profile (most interactions are via the API so it isn't a big problem but if we are troubleshooting an issue we use the GUI to log in and check the issue).

Hmm, seems you might be right. One of the backhauls is a mimosa b5c, the other is a (really old, but rock solid stable) AF 24. The mimosa MTU is confirmed at 3200, the air fiber is supposed to be 9000 but I seem to be hitting the issue from this forum post: https://community.ubnt.com/t5/airFiber/AF2...

There appears to be no other way to filter logs other than the topics (where the messages go I mean).

Can account be added (and possibly error removed only 3 topics are supported, critical should imply error IMHO) to the login failure messages?

Hmm, that is not good. This is our BGP router (all our upstream's fiber plugs into it at his location) even if the CCR reboots in 15 seconds (BGP peers will take about another minute on top of that) I can't afford to be having that kind of outage on any sort of regular basis. Feature requests for netflow / traffic-flow

Two requests:

1. Can we specify the ip netflow is sent as? Changing ips causes disconnects in the data seen (as the interface is tied to the router which is tied to the IP).
2. Is there any way to get the origin-AS to show up in v9 netflow data from the router?

Re: Optimal way to search ip route when I know the exact pre

I ran a few more tests, on an 1100AHx2 a similar difference occurs (via command line comes up almost instantly, API takes 1 minute, 30 sec, vs a few seconds on CCR command line, CCR API is 5 minutes). So I'm guessing the upgrade removed the difference between the two platforms but there is a common ...

Re: Can I lookup the closest match route?

Never knew about the check command, your right its a bit limited but it should help with debugging internal OSPF related issues. For BGP related stuff (where allot of routes are going to point to the same link) I'll have to deal with the "in dst-address" method (On my routers that carry fu...

Running 6.15 and upgrading to firmware 3.13 the time is lower at 5 minutes 20 seconds (instead of almost 15 minutes) but still nowhere near the speed of the CLI (about 10-15 seconds).

Re: Optimal way to search ip route when I know the exact pre

Well the 1100AHx2 is unaffected by this issue:

I tried 5.26, 6.10 and 6.15 on the 1100 after iBGP peering it with the CCR to bring the full table.

5.26 took 56 sec, 6.10 and 6.15 take about 1 minute 35 seconds.

I guess I'll have to schedule an upgrade of the CCR to rule out the hardware.

Yes, the OSPF peering is between a cisco and a RB1100AH running 5.14 (I hope to run a test today between two 450s running the same software version to confirm). OSPF on an interface with two ip addresses

Some quick testing seems to indicate that the routeros platform can't deal with an OSPF interface with multiple ip addresses on it. This is somewhat normal given that cisco does not allow you to OSPF peer over anything but the primary ip address of an interface. What I want is to be able to peer usi...
