Re: how enable container on CHR\x86? Topic is solved

the methods to enable containers are a little harsh but the security implications are pretty wild so you're not going to get very far with support on this one.

Re: how enable container on CHR\x86? Topic is solved

If its virsh then a "virsh destroy" need to be issued. this is the command that initiates an immediate ungraceful shutdown and stops the specified guest virtual machine https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/virtualization_deployment_and_administratio...

Re: how enable container on CHR\x86? Topic is solved

Same thing to me when i tried it on VirtualBox, can not update the device-mode.
I just tested with latest VirtualBox and it works fine using the "reset" in vitualbox with the CHR 7.5 images

Re: how enable container on CHR\x86? Topic is solved

I know it probably dosent help your exact problem but I had the exact same issue on Linode.com instances, so I hope this helps someone in the same situation. The fix was after entering the /system/device-mode/update container=yes then going into the LISH console then issuing a CTL+A then D to exit f...

Re: "Problems" with RBGPOE-CON-HP?

I have the same thing with a few of them, powers up, then just looks like it browns out and the output led just blinks and the unit clicks somewhat, unplug the output device then it resets to a solid LED. I did however take one apart and it have a lot of thermal grease smeared all over it also being...

Yeah, I've found it works also using the actual /127 address and mask and then using the "link-local%interface" on the default route.

Re: Need Help to install Mikrotik in Linode VPS

I spent days trying to get this to work on Linode, then Mikrotik announced CHR http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=98981 which worked first try, You just need to dd the raw image in the finnix environment to the linode boot disk, I have it happily running on Linode(kvm hosts) you'll j...

/port remote-access - Echo Problem

I seem to be getting an echo upon remote access to a serial port via telnet with either raw or RFC on CRS125-24G running v6.32.1 I built a roll over cable http://imgur.com/JZhB8f6 and plugged into console port http://imgur.com/JkaBkYn of the device I am trying to connect to. Serial access works fine...

Re: CRS226-24G-2S+RM soon ?

- use some external power supplies to have 24V from 48V - takes up extra space, no dual PS support, DC jack does look ridiculous - but i keep warranty :-) Slightly off topic, but you could use something like externally this to create a dual power feed from two different power bricks. http://www.min...

Re: RB1200 do not reboot, stopped on: jumping to kernel code

Im also having rebooting issues on a SER:2D72xxxx... unit with FW:3.10.

I first noticed it when I upgraded from 6.5 -> 6.9 then again through to 6.11 after a power cycle its normal again.

These are rather nice battery controller

You could hook up the USB to a mikrotik to get all the stats off it.

Re: Wanted - New hardware from MikroTik

Just a point on switches I would love a big(er) gigabit switch running RouterOS The broadcom line of switch soc's like the BCM56226 http://www.broadcom.com/collateral/pb/56226-PB00-R.pdf is a 16 port gig has a MIPS32 cpu on chip or is externally controllable via an external CPU via one of these host...

Re: Hardware Request/Idea

I was thinking the exact same thing, something to allow hackers to drop in between network interfaces. Say you wanted to add a mikrotik router to something... say a cisco HWIC-1FE... you could unsolder the pads from the magjack connect to microboard resolder other end. this would bring life to all t...

Re: Public IPs behind NAT

What are you running on the external hosts? How many external IP's do you need inside your network? Because right now in your diagram you have network overlapping, that is the same 'network' is split over the ether1 and ether2-local which you cant really do. 205.83.26.216 <- Network Address 205.83.2...
