Re: v6.41.3 [current]

RB2011UAS-2HnD ROS v6.41.3

Enabling pppoe client interface, waiting for a number of seconds (>14 secs), then disabling it results in "no such item (4)" error.
Occurs in Winbox and Terminal.
Also happens in 6.42rc43

The voltage is different. Mikrotik's passive PoE is like 12-24V and 802.3af is higher, 40-50V. I don't know the exact voltages. The LED may light up but the camera probably not working.

Since you already plugged it in, try and see if it works.

Re: script local variable can't see

Each line written in terminal is treated as local scope.

Try this in terminal:
> :local hello 8 ; :put $hello
8

That will work but not:
> :local hello 8
> :put $hello

In scripts the local scope is within the curly braces { }

Guys/gals, I'm new to the forum so I don't want to step on anyone's toes but I really have to say that this is by far the most entertaining thread in the entire forum. :)

One conclusion that I have reached thus far is that the forum sorely needs a :facepalm: smiley.
