Mikrotik VLAN switching without bridging and WLAN

Hi everyone, I'm having some probs bridging wlan1 to a switched vlan config. I'm using an RB2011-2HnD-IN on 6.38.1. How do you update your dyndns? Mikrotik router script or a ddns client on a PC?

Turn on /ip cloud and use the Mikrotik provided ddns. Does that work?

Re: hAP Lite (RB941-2nD-TC) bridge auto-mac Bug

I've received a reply regarding this from support. Bridge auto-mac is selecting from the first available interface. In the hAP Lite, it looks like wlan comes up before the ethers. Wiki has been updated too. From "Automatically select the smallest MAC address" to "Automatically select ...

Re: RB1100AH and a few RB951 How should they be configured?

Port forwarding is quite simple. For example: /ip firewall nat add action=dst-nat chain=dstnat dst-port=8008 in-interface=pppoe1 protocol=tcp to-addresses=10.0.1.9 to-ports=8008 The above is to forward port 8008 to my DVR at 10.0.1.9. My ISP is using PPPoE for the internet hence the "in-interfa...

Feature Request: Twitter, instant messaging for notifications

In ROS, we now have email and SMS support for the router to send us notifications. Is it possible to add any of this? 1. Twitter DM (We can already do email to twitter with IFTTT) 2. Whatsapp, Skype (probably not) 3. Any IM support: Facebook Messenger, Line, WeChat, Google Talk, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, etc...

Re: internet for a restaurant or cafe shop

The simplest way would be to use Quickset, select Home AP. From there you can define a Guest Wireless Network and a Limit Download Speed. This will only limit their download speed, not limit time connected nor bandwidth. I usually find that this is sufficient for a restaurant. Maybe start and go fro...

hAP Lite (RB941-2nD-TC) bridge auto-mac Bug

Hi all, can someone confirm if this is a bug or if I'm missing something? Bridge auto-mac=yes doesn't seem to be working correctly on hAP Lite. This is on a hAP Lite (RB941-2nD-TC) ROS 6.34.4. Wiki says: auto-mac (yes | no; Default: yes) Automatically select the smallest MAC address of bridge ports ...

Re: Help with auto email sendind script in hAP Lite

I just checked the command "/system ntp client get status" on an RB2011 (ROS 6.34.2) and there's no such value as "status". Likewise on the hAP Lite (ROS 6.34.4). I guess it must have been removed in one of the versions.

So I have a RB951G and fairly happy with the coverage however the wifi is dropping out until a reboot of the device brings it back. It's up to date at 6.34.4. I know that it shows a 1000mW power output for the wifi where the HAP AC doesn't mention the power. Can anyone offer any info on this? How d...

I love the hAP Lite. It's so economical. It works great as a simple wired AP. Currently testing 2 of them in place of 1 RB951Ui-2HnD and having great results. Sadly, the lack of POE-IN is limiting if you don't have a power socket nearby. The worst thing is that all of the suppliers in my country onl...

Was happening in at least 6.33.3 as well for the RB951G. Didn't realize that. I wonder if it just happens to specific models. It's not a problem to most of us who knows about Winbox and connecting with MAC. But just imagine if you're a new home user with a shiny new RB and you're trying to setup yo...

I 've just encountered the Flash CPU usage problem. Flash 80% CPU, still responding to pings, ssh/webgui not responding, wifi clients can't connect, can still login via winbox, very slow, able to reboot. Happened this morning, not sure what time but I only realized it at around 11am. Overnight was d...

ranpha, what speeds do you get, say copying a file from a file server to a notebook at 2.4GHz 20Mhz width?
Like this: Server --LAN-->RB751U-2HnD--WiFi-->Notebook/PC

The best I can manage is about 30mbps without encryption and 25mbps with WPA2-AES.

RB751U-2HnD , 100% cpu usage, winbox login lag

Yeah, that's the error I got. The same one that one gets if the router is powered off without issuing a shutdown command. Come to think of it, I didn't pay attention to the cause number. It's no longer in the log now. Since then it hasn't rebooted.

I didn't experience any dropouts nor 100% CPU usage by the Flash process. All via WiFi, of course. I will try...

I'm currently using an RB750GL and was considering getting a RB751U-2HnD when I came across this thread. Has Mikrotik got back to any of you regarding this prob? I'm just afraid that I will end up with the same prob.
