Re: Usage of miniPCI-E - ethernet

normis: OK, but is there any restriction in miniPCI-E implementation on RouterBoards, like "USB-only" ? Or it is implemented like whole interface specification describes ? If so, there is only possible problem - with drivers. Which can be quite easly resolved in another ROS version. Am I c...

Usage of miniPCI-E - ethernet

Hi, I'm just curious that there are drivers in ROS to manage miniPCI-E ethernet cards working on RouterBoards, like RB912UAG-2HPnD for example. I want to use this ethernet card to add second ETH port to board without using USB2ETH dongle ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sd-Mpe24031-Mini-Pci-Express-Gbe-E...

Re: mavericks

Problem is that Mavericks are not delivered with X11 required by WINE. It is a little bit tricky to make WinBox running again.

Anyway - will ever Mikrotik make WinBox for Mac OSX like native app ? Please ! 8)

Re: Automatic RoS reboot at a specifit time

I have similar issue with E1750 by Huawei. The solution is to power-cycle USB / whole RB. I have made HW reset function for external device via /system health fan-mode feature which controls FAN header on RB433UAH used here. Therefore, there is posibility to control relay which will cycle power for ...

Hi,

nice work.

Did you made some simulations or even measurements how exactly are these tuned for this type of use ? And what about the forward/backward antenna ratio and so on ? 8)

What type of antennas do you use ? Did you try lower frequencies ?

70km, respect ... We have 22km long link and it is running nstreme-dual for good, very good, but 70km ? Quite unreachable for us. What about the TX power ? 8)

Re: Feature requests

I don't think it's logical at all. Or user friendly! RouterOS users expect that all access rules are managed by the firewall. Why run to 10 different places to turn on/off some service access when you can do it all in one place, with easy overview of all rules and their priorities. Oukey, so why ar...

Re: Serial-terminal output read from script

Have you gone to "/system ports" and setup the a new remote port? This will allow you to remotely access something attached to the serial port. Note, the serial port has to not be in use for system management to use the remote port feature. Check this out for more info: http://wiki.mikrot...

Hi there, Is there any possibility to read output of RS232 attached device from script ? Maybe serial-terminal ? But how to read it in script ?
