Duplicated built-in tools

Since some time we 've got such problem with duplicated tools in Dude. Duplicated-tools.jpg Custom tools that were duplicated are easily removed. But built-ins can't be removed by any user, neither helps clean install and just import of dude database. Does anyone else have similar problem, and hopef...

DHCP Lease assignment based only on partial MAC (i.e. only on OUI) / hostname / received DHCP Option 82 Info (this one is the most important).
IPsec Virtual Interface (that would allow routing to other networks through tunnel)

Re: The Dude, v6.37rc test builds.

In the v6.37rc24-27 there is a problem with server crash after displaying any device popup window. I.e. you hold cursor for a moment on any device on any map, after taking it away from that device, server crash and then recovers itself after few seconds.

Multiply float number

Is there a way to multiply by float number in RoS? How can i get in RoS result of i.e.: :put (6*1,2) Currently console gives me this: 6;2 And the result of course should be 7,2. I cannot use dot presentation, due to RoS reading it as ip address. If somebody wonder what i'm trying to do, i want to ap...

Re: Question about DHCP log (New feature request)

I know it's feature request, but solution for now is adding such script as lease script in DHCP Server:
:log info ($leaseServerName . " " . $leaseActIP . " " . $leaseActMAC . " " . ([/ip dhcp-server lease get [find active-address=$leaseActIP] host-name]))

Re: Odp: IPSEC pre-shared-key-xauth

Hi, I recently bought my first Mikrotik and now I'm trying to set up IPSec/XAUTH connection from my Android device to Mikrotik. I hope I'm correct in assuming pre-shared-key-xauth is correct peer authentication method ? If so... I have a problem. This auth method isn't available using winbox, and w...

Re: Odp: Winbox Security: Password Stored in clear text form

Yes, this is true. Do not "save" passwords on a PC where you are not the only user. We are working on a new Winbox where you will be able to set a master password, that will encrypt your passwords. Do u plan to add some new features (i.e. storing personal default column selection) to WinBox or just...

Goal: Setup for client VPN based on IPsec, as roadwarrior, with personal certifcate for each user. Client app is Shrew Soft client (last version 2.2.2). Re: IPSec Templates Not Setting Proposal Correctly.

Well, it should be like u write, but it isn't. In fact if u set ipsec policy as template (template=yes) RoS ignores every other setting except dst-address, group, src-address. But u can go around and set default proposal to match your roadwarrior setup, and create second proposal as substitute for d...

Wireless transparent bridge (based on VPLS) throughput issue

I did set up wireless transparent bridge as written here: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Transparently_Bridge_two_Networks_using_MPLS . As i try to check real throughput of this connection, it shows me something around 12Mb/s. When i change only the type of L2 bridge to one based on WDS, real through...

Re: Queue size=0 problem

I also tried that, with pfifo-limit=1 and max-bandwidth of queue set to 2M there is only around 300k achievable. IMO there is no way to achieve 100% shaper in RoS as described in wiki. Some packets always will be queded (even if max-bandwidth isn't reached).

Re: Queue size=0 problem

I did that, and it doesn't work as described in wiki. When I set queue type to pfifo with pfifo-limit=0 (according to wiki it should work as 100% shaper), it's impossible to reach max-bandwidth of queue. It drops everything, and none traffic is passing.

Queue size=0 problem

I want to shape traffic without any queded packets. Any packets above the limit should be dropped immediately. Just like it is described in http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Queue_Size as 100% shaper. But when i set queue size to 0 the traffic stops. It doesn't matter which type of queue i choose...

Each user profile in Dude should have it own password set w each device (it would be even better if admin can select whether specific user can use default password set, or should have his own). Now every user in Dude uses the same password for devices as others.

/export compact

doesn't export changes made under default items of /system logging actions. It's crucial for remote logging ip address. The same was on previous 5.x releases.
