Re: RB1100 Fan issue

I changed this problem in another way: I connected two fans in serial and plugged into socket on the board (main or aux - doesn't matter). Now I have 2 running fans but powered by 6V DC each (instead of 12). Their speed is low and temperature is 33C. I was trying this solution on RB1100HX2 but it d...

Re: RB1100 Fan issue

Solution - absolutely silent, no moving parts :) It's home installation in separate section inside the wardrobe. Board temperature is 35C, CPU temperature is 37C :)

Re: How to OpenVPN on 6.5

How to establish OpenVPN connection without auth and cipher on v.6.5? It shows error for auth or ciper method "not supported" in the log on the server side even if you disable all the auth and cipher methods... How to connect different clients with different auth and ciper methods and WIT...

Re: IPTV solution with udpxy

If you would like to share what you did we wouldn't mind :) Maybe others need it, too. As far as I see on the screenshot - IPTV works via udpxy (you can see it in the process list). It's the most simple way to convert multicast to unicast so that it transfers over wifi at a maximum speed. And it's ...

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

Since RouterOS 5.15 we have no significant issues. Sometimes CPU usage increases but RB recovers without rejecting service. Currently we have 17 days uptime. Wondering do we have to try 5.16 or leave it as is :)

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

Yesterday we've replaced back 751G by 751U upgraded to 5.15. I would say it works much much better. At the moment 23 hours uptime without any issues like reboots or high CPU utilization. Let's see how it feels next few days.

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

Today is more than 5 days of 751G uptime without any issues. And, jhheider , you may be right, our 751G has 64MB of RAM. But much more than 32MB is free: [admin@MikroTik] > system resource print uptime: 5d6h7m39s version: 5.14 free-memory: 46360KiB total-memory: 62196KiB However only developers know...

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

As I mentioned before we've replaced RB/751U with RB/751G in the field. RouterOS version was left the same 5.14 (not 5.15) to see is there a difference between similar devices. What can I say? 3 days uptime without any issues on 751G where 751U shown issues every day. We leave it there for long holi...

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

you need to contact support with your RIF file and we will see why Flash process is running so actively. about the above RB751U problems - you all need to send your RIF files to support, make the files as close to the problem as possible. We were trying to create supout.rif while experiencing high ...

Re: RB751U-2Hn frequent (daily) reboots

We also experience reboot problems with one of our RB751U which is used as a hotspot. Usually it reboots every day in approximately a peak time. However currently we have 5d uptime without reboot and only see 100% CPU utilization in peak time when it rebooted. Today we've discovered that CPU is util...

just checking configuration logic :)
Sorry but previous post means that the logic is not understood (and I agree with it). Could you describe your design task?

Re: RB750

I used to hear times ago that Atheros wireless cards (which are used in RB hardware) support as maximum as 27-30 simultaneous users. And that could be an answer to your question. However RB750 doesn't have wireless cards in it... What are you using as a wireless AP?

Re: Feature requests

integrate udpxy. Very useful for IPTV over WiFi for home users. It would be really nice to have this feature integrated. Just a few words why it's really needed: There are a couple of RB hardware models oriented for home use. And a lot of home users (at least here in Ukraine) have IPTV from their I...

Not enough information. There are a lot of reasons for this kind of error (soft reset). Did you look into server log, not only client? Often it helps.

Re: UDP to TCP stream transfer

Does someone have positive experience implementing udpxy in Metarouter/OpenWRT? I spent 2 days with RB751U with no success. Tried this image . I was able to configure virtual machine with 11MB RAM configured for it (the most stable result) and install udpxy inside. However there are still a lot of i...
