Re: About Skype and yahoo

Really, you need to provide more information. All I got was that one of your clients have problems with their bandwidth/latency.

How does your configuration look? What is the hardware? What speeds are you seeing?

Try a UDP test before replacing cable.

Re: Recommended config for short distance p2p.

My Rate Selection was set to Legacy, by changing this to Advanced, and bu setting HT Guard interval to ANy, and removing all AMPDU priorities except from 0, the speed is now 180/180 and the bandwidth test showing 140Mbit. I cannot see any option to set timing and distance. Overall CCQ is 78% (after ...

Re: Recommended config for short distance p2p.

Turn tx power down. 2 to 4dB will be plenty. Anything more and you will be aiming at the side lobes and not be able to tell. This I have tried by upping the antenna gain, but this had no effect what so ever on the signal strength. today the link went down. Im not at home so i cannot tell what happe...

Re: Recommended config for short distance p2p.

There is 2 thing to do here. algin algin and more algine at antenna. Also nv2 or nstreme/802.11 is a bit of what you want. low latency or high speed. second to do here, is to use some freq that have the less amount of noice, AND! is compatible to antenna. (im not sure of the stationbox, but MT SXT ...

Recommended config for short distance p2p.

Im setting up a 200m link with 2x RB711GA 5Hn, the antennas are StationBox Mikro, they have dual polarity, so does the RB711. We have very good line of sight, the signal im seeing at the client end is tx/rx -57dbi/-56dbi I have read the guide "Transparently bridge two networks using MPLS", but curre...

Re: Ptp with RB711Ga, wich pigtail to wich port

What will you be using the link for? In total we are gonna set up a link with 3x ptp to get highspeed internet connection to my home. From A to B (no direct LoS, so we have to separate it in three steps) 1: 1,5 km 2: 6km 3: 0.2 km Its the last one (#3) im playing with now. When we get confident tha...

Re: Ptp with RB711Ga, wich pigtail to wich port

It seems like the 5ghz band is not much used in my area. I couldnt see anything on frequence scans. Also found out that using "20/40 HT above/below" enables the second channel. And i think this i what is necessary to get the highest speeds with dual polarity. I was using a mpls transparent link at f...

Re: Ptp with RB711Ga, wich pigtail to wich port

Update: The tx/r rate now shows 270/6. But as soon as i start to transfer data between computers, rx jumps up to 168. It now maxes out my 100mbit nics :) Im not sure what caused the big difference, but I switched over to use "superchannel" and also selected higher channel width. I also feel like dro...

Ptp with RB711Ga, wich pigtail to wich port

Hi. Im setting up a 200m link with 2x RB711GA 5Hn, the antennas are StationBox Mikro, they have dual polarity, so does the RB711. I have followed the Transparent bridge with mpls/vpls guide. The wireless status page shows that we have 130 Mbit Tx, but only 6 Mbit rx Sometimes it says 130/130. Howeve...
