PPPoE Sessions stop RX when running Torch on any interface

Hi all, when I do a Torch on any of the interfaces on CCR1016-12S-1S+ all current connected PPPoE sessions immediately fall to 0 bps RX and after a while disconnect one by one. As soon as I stop Torch, the connected PPPoE sessions go back to normal with RX and disconneted sessions reconnect again. F...

Re: PPPoE Server Tx/Rx limits not working.

to which ROS have you downgraded please? Same issue here with 6.40.6.
After upgrade all the upload queues are not shaping the traffic anymore... subscribers can use full line speed!

Re: ROS vulnerable to conficker virus infection?

Well, I got DNAT running to internal IP but this won't be logged by OUTPUT rule. INPUT allowed is 8291 and another one for SSH administration only. At the moment the box is trying to reach millions of IP's at Ports 8291, 80, 8080, 7547, 23 and flooding the box' log ... this sounds like VPNFilter vul...

ROS vulnerable to conficker virus infection?

Hi all, Spamhaus was blocking my public IP for sending TCP packets with identified conficker signature to specific IP addresses. "This IP address was detected and listed 9 times in the past 28 days, and 1 times in the past 24 hours. The most recent detection was at Fri May 25 13:45:00 2018 UTC ...

Re: PPPoE MSS clamp no working on upgrade

After yesterday's "URGENT security advisory" from Mikrotik I upgraded my PPPoE Servers to 6.40.6 and now same thing: MSS mangle rules gone and service broken!

Please help!

Packet loss with new hw-offload bridge feature

since I’ve upgraded my RB750GL from 6.3x to 6.4x I experience sporadic packet loss through the automatic generated bridge with hw-offload. Before upgrade and master-slave switch port config there wasn’t any of that kind of problems. There was ether3 and ether4 in a switch config with ether4 as maste...

Re: Strange behavior of hardware on RB493G

Can you check if the following part exists on the legs of the HC595 chip? _DSC0579.jpg Hi Normis, what can be the issues caused when that part is missing? I currently have rolled out a bunch of 493G's which - after 6 weeks of operation - start to crash and reboot periodically. I have no idea as to ...

Re: RouterOS v6.x with Ubiquiti AirFiber 24 v2.0 - RX Error FCS

Hi all, one thing that saved my life and is running for months now without any FCS errors is the following (RB750 had this issue with NanoStationsM5): Before: ports (except customer port) bridged and linked to another bridge (with customer port) via vlan --> port where UBNT gear was operated: lots o...

Re: RouterOS v6.x with Ubiquiti AirFiber 24 v2.0 - RX Error

Hi everybody, I'm currently having same issue here, FCS errors on RB750GL (on 6.15) port with UBNT NS5 Loco (latest firmware and RF Armor shields) connected. NS5 Loco is powered by PoE injector. What I did so far without success: - replaced cable (tough cable) connectors - replaced cable by certifi...

Re: VPLS load balancing and failover

thanks for your reply! that's what I'm currently doing with 2x2 only chains. But in future setups I want a fdx/failover solution by using the 4x4 with ospf and doing 2x2 for TX and 2x2 for RX on both AP and Station panels (WiBox) and the relatively new RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT with additional 2x2 card. I'...

Re: VPLS load balancing and failover

I'm planning to build full duplex backbone using ptmp between 1 ap and 2 stations like this: S -----AP----- S. Thinking of 4x4 MIMO panels and OSPF with VPLS instead of EoIP to max out Speed and MTU. Background is to avoid wasting frequencies in a scenario like this: S ---AP_AP--- S Do you think tha...

Re: High latency and jitter using NV2 for PtP

don't know what the above pings should prove/show... :?:

but I was referring to this:
"I would try setting my interface types to NMBA(nonbroadcast multi access) and configuring some OSPF neighbors. This will kill multicast and switch all communication to unicast."

How I found it out? as I said: by playing with the settings... in a lab environment and a hundred combinations I excluded several settings that would make sense,up to this one which absolutely makes no sense to me ;-) Well, regarding your OSPF issue I would try this post from gregsowell: http://foru...

Re: High latency and jitter using NV2 for PtP

Hi wispwest, I've noticed same behaviour when I was updating from 5.25 to 6.0 and all my <1ms PtMP links increased both latency and jitter. Going back to 5.25 or 5.20 did not help at all: with unchanged settings worse results... really annoying! I'm currently trying to find a most satisfying config ...
