Hi,

This can be done using Firewall-Filter, nevertheless! i support this idea, it is gonging to be useful specially for home users and users with limited network experience

Feature request: Connecting to Winbox Via Winbox

Having the ability to connect using Winbox from inside Winbox would be very useful, especially if i have multiple Mikrotik devices in my local network.
We already can do SSH or Telnet from inside Winbox, why not doing Winbox too?!

but in this case you will be able to access your FTP from one modem only.
so in your dst-nat rule you need to specify the in-interface or dst-address which would be corresponded to WAN1 or WAN2

Re: Howto: multiple users sharing the same bandwidth

yeh this is what i thought. but still it can be done without any additional hardware. what ever once you already bought new hardware it is easier to use it. so what you have to do is to use your new router133c as transparent bridge and apply queue on it. you dont have to enable anything else on that...

I am not sure why you had to use new hardware for your new client? beacuse it sounds it can be done with your exsisting system. what ever if you wanted to allwo your users to authanticate to your central HOTSPOT just use your new hardware as bridge so you can control these users aswell. i am not sur...

I know these are your defualt gateways man, disable them do the trace and sumbit the results. after that you can reenable them! plus sumbit your routing table with detials and submit your NAT rule if you have so.

Re: Can't ping different Network in Policy Routing

Dear Abab

try to disable these two records from your routing table:
0.0.0.0/0 r 2YY.14Y.58.81 Wan
0.0.0.0/0 r 1XX.10X.38.21 Wan
after that try tracert again, and let me know.

Re: 2 NAT'd networks each with its own public IP

you have to provide all your firewall ips and gateways.
also never post your real ips on the internet always hide some parts using XX.

Re: Static routing through specified interface

you have to add prement route record on your gateway 10.10.53.1 to route all request going to 172.17.1.0/24 to 10.10.53.12. so you have to tell me what is your 10.10.53.1? is it windows? if so do the follwing: goto start->run->cmd in command prompt write the following: Route add 172.17.1.0 MASK 255....

Do a trace route from any of your computers one computer from each segment. and post the results here.

for example, on compter from range 1XX.10X.38.32/28
tracert 2YY.14Y.58.100 -d

Cross or Straight it does not matter, since any of your devices ports supports MDI/MDI-X crossover detection,
in another word if the adapter shows link established it does not matter performance never affected.

well shielder i have a small comment on your routing scenario.

you have to know that once you use "masquerade action" you will not be able to specify the nating source IP, that's mean the field "to src addresses" is ignored.
