Re: rb1100dx4 - all management has stopped

I just experienced the same thing on a unit running 6.43.8 with the latest boot loader. Management is locked up but it is still natting traffic for me. I may try getting the support file if I can otherwise I will likely remove the internal SSD (which we are not currently using).

Re: v6.43.1 [stable] is released!

Run into issues with this latest firmware. Happens on 2011 and on RB912 so far. Version 6.43.1. Reboot, software based or power cycle, the routers get stuck in a boot loop and start sending out bootp packets wanting a net install. (etherboot) Existing routerboard settings: /system routerboard settin...

Re: v6.33.5 [current] is released!

I was running a RB1100x2 with a pppoe client to my ISP and after upgrading from version 6.33.3 to 6.33.5, that pppoe session would never obtain an IP address and would bounce/reinitialize every few seconds. I had to down grade to the bug-fix version (6.32.3) to resolve.

Re: 6.30 RC final fixes before release

Could you post the changelog for the updated RouterBOOT?

The URL Here: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/RouterBOOT_changelog

It only goes up to 3.22 but I am seeing 3.24 on the RB450G boards now.

Thank you,
Gabe

Re: RouterOS v6.28 released

I have found the following issues: Speed/Duplex negotiation issue between Netmetal5 and RB1100 will not link at 1 Gb. If the same netmetal5 is connected to a CCR1036, it will negotiate at 1 Gb. I have found two instances already. If the same RB1100 model (the ones listed above experiencing link spee...

Re: dual WAN failover using BGP and static route on 1 LAN

# 10.0.0.1 is my directly connected IP address neighbor for the default route to the internet. # 172.16.0.1 is an IP address out on the internet that I want to get to only from the provider. # If the address above goes down, I will disable the "Default Routes" routes and follow the other d...

New Feature Request - IPv6 NAT RFC6296

Before anyone says it is a bad idea or to spark an entire debate on if such should or should not exist, please read RFC6296. For using mikrotik as a boarder firewall filter, NATv6 would be a good tool to ease the concerns of IPv6 deployment.

Re: Network routed with OSPF with 2 default routes

Hi, I have been seeing this problem with version 5.14. Primary router and backup routers injecting into OSPF type 2 default routes, learned by BGP. OSPF inject default metrics are 1 and 20 respective to the primary and backup routers. The other routers within the OSPF area will not receive a default...
