A very noob question about dst-nat rules

For example I need to forward packages on several ports to same address in LAN - _NO_ port rewriting, only address rewriting. Options are: A) One rule per port and add comment accordingly - easier on maintenance I guess? B) One rule for all ports with same LAN address and protocol - shorter list und...

Firewall filter and mangle

My understanding is that they can both be used for: match connection by port, interface, etc --> put connection into address-list Previously I use filter to do it and drop ssh brute forcers. As copied from wiki: add chain=input protocol=tcp dst-port=22 src-address-list=ssh_blacklist action=drop \ co...

Re: Will there be a 5G wifi version of RB2011 soon?

yes, apple devices don't support 40MHz in 2GHz, only in 5GHz. currently we don't plan RB2011 with 5Ghz, but there might be other 5GHz products for your needs For example, RB912 in an indoor case is a good choice. By using the miniPCIe slot, you can make it a dual band device Thanks! Already got a R...

Re: RB951G-2HnD cannot get 300mhz

MikroTik doesn't like Apple products due to Apples's "life-changing, groudbraking, awesome, surprising and wonderfull" implementation of WiFi ;). Search forum for informations about best configuration for Apple products. I think that you mean 300MBit - not 300MHz. Read below: Info from ap...

This problem drives me crazy now... I just removed RB951G and used the modem router directly to test. Here is the result: http://ww4.sinaimg.cn/large/70ec79bdgw1e5gufr7semj20x40lujtn.jpg If I connect RB951G to the modem and use it as router: http://ww4.sinaimg.cn/large/70ec79bdgw1e5gugoxc1rj20x20m0d...

Re: What's the best wifi speed I could get from RB951G-2HnD?

4MB/s from Macbook air + 4MB/s to Macbook Pro = 8MB/s or 64mbps, is more than enough for an 130mbps connection.. You need to connect to more than 144mbps. Maybe 300mbps. Check google for Macbook wireless problems. Thanks. But I don't really understand what you said... did you mean this is a problem...

What's the best wifi speed I could get from RB951G-2HnD?

I just bought a RB951G-2HnD and set it up. When I transferred a 2GB file from my Macbook air to a Macbook Pro, the peak speed is only 4 Mb/s. Most time it was only 3.2 Mb/s. I think it's too slow, but why?

Here are the 2 laptops:

How to use 2 LAN connection to have 200 Mbit/s speed?

Hi,

My broadband @home has up to 200 Mbit/s downloading speed. But the modem came from the ISP only has 2x100 Mbit/s LAN ports.

Is that possible that I connect my RB951G and the modem with 2 cables to achieve the max speed? How?

Thanks :)

OpenVPN routes-push problem

Hi,

My OpenVPN pushes routes down to connected client. It worked well when I connect to it with my Mac.

But when I use my RB750 to connect, it could fail if there are too many routes pushed down (currently it works with 21 routes but not more than that).

Is this a bug or some limitation?
