And why is 2.4 GHz still listed as Wi-Fi 4 instead of Wi-Fi 6?

Invariably, over time, I always see the UniF--k controller fail. Whether it be mongoDB or something else.

Probably those "cloud key" boxes? I run the controller as a VMware Linux VM and I have never seen it fail.

Personally I would go for wifiwave2 and drop capsman alltogether.
3 APs (of which one works as router) is easy enough to be setup separately.

Few switches are unmanaged and there are some risks with using vlans.

The answer was already provided. Large gathering WIFI is the forte of some vendors............. and others not.
Dont create a ruckus but do look around.

IMHO ubiquiti wifi is overpriced. (for what you get).

...unif APs will detect the other WiFi signal with same SSID as a "rogue AP" otherwise and will simply go offline.

get Mikrotik APs and use them in CAPsMAN mode...

You can use any wireless routerboard for this... heX can be the CAPsMAN master.

Its another layer of overhead and as you are finding out, also bad for head bruising, but perhaps the brick wall needs some pulpy brain mush for decoration.
