Re: CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ traffic problem on ports 1 to 8

Hello,
any progress with version 7.13.4 or are there still problems?
We are thinking of buying 2 switches for the company and after reading this thread I have no confidence in CRS354.
I have been connecting CRS328-24P+4S-RMs together with DAC cables.

Problem has been there for years at this point.

Return the unit and get 2 CRS328-24P+4S-RM with a 10 dollar DAC cable between them.

Or get a EdgeSwitch ES48-500. Been around for years and have been solid.

remove that unit from the rack and buy 2 CRS328-24P+4S-RM. Get a $10 DAC cable and uplink them together.

The CRS354 has been broken for years at this point with no sign that Mikrotik intends to do anything about it.

Why wouldn't you use the same scope?
you are not getting broadcast traffic anyways. And proxy arp has been known to stall the whole network if you make enough mistakes.

VPN in on a different subnet and use Firewall and routing rules.

If you have caps-man man forwarding on. You need to add the interfaces to the bridge with the Guest DHCP server.

If you use local forwarding... It's a VLAN thing.

Set a default password for the SSID that you give to no one.

Then use ACL to give a specific MAC a password.

Re: hAP AX2 configuring Wifi for AC+AX

(THIS IS NOT ON MIKROTIK RADIOS BUT WHAT I LEARNED FROM USING SEVERAL MANUFACTURES)

You need an SSID with WPA3 enabled... that can take advantage of AX.
Then have another SSID that goes up to WPA2.

I had several devices that would not connect as soon as I turned on WPA3.

2 SSIDs cured it.
