Guys, I think I solved it in the past: Make sure the user you use for Dude access has FTP rights (the group the user belongs to)! Hope, in near future Mikrotik team will restart Dude v6 bug fixing/development.

I had the same problem. The only solution is to install a routerOS x86 + Free License and run dude.npk on it. RouterOS is a mikrotik proprietary system based on Linux Kernel.

Kickstarter for The Dude

I was wondering, what if we begin a Kickstarter project to support the development and bug fixing for a new dude release ? Maybe, Mikrotik itself could stabilish a value for funding and hire new programmers for it and we could make a list of desirable functions and implementations. This way, the dud...

Make sure that your devices are able to reply ping requests and that there´s no other firewall in the network filtering pings sent by The Dude.

Re: The Dude is NOT Dead - New Dude Version...

In my opinion, maybe it´s time to make poll and see if the Dude community would be willing to pay for better/faster dude development. Entire companys have their network plants based on Mikrotik Dude, so... Maybe it´s time for a "Dude Professional Version"
