I know that after I upgraded to version 5, I've stopped complaining about it... Not because it was fixed, but because I've accepted the fact that it is NOT going to be fixed and I should just move on and use something else for our BGP.

Due to the way WDS works it bypasses both of the forwarding options(ac and interface default). It all has to do with the virtual interfaces in the bridge that are created when the wds link is established.

relocate your antennas below the top of the tower.. or
use a DC grounded omnis.. or
use an XR2 w/grounding strap on your omni antennas..

The easiest way to tell is to open the wireless interface and goto the general tab..

Wireless (Atheros AR5213) is SR9 and
Wireless (Atheros AR5413) is XR9.

This won't work in all situations.. for example it would be difficult to determine an XR2 from an XR9 using this method..

I'm having trouble with OSPF redistribute default route on rc14.. I upgraded my core to rc14 and now redistribute default route doesn't work. I've rebooted all neighbors and it will not redistribute it. After downgrading back to rc13 it starts working again. Can anyone else confirm? Thanks, Gerard

oh, that make sense then..

You have to make sure your dhcp server is on your bridge interface..

If you put a dhcp server on an ethernet interface that is a member of a bridge it will not work..

You'll notice that the dhcp server turns red when it isn't on the bridge interface..

You would have to use some external scripting to login to your AP's and copy that access list to all of the others. There is nothing built in to mikrotik to do that for you.

Your best option would be to setup a radius server and have all of your AP's check it for their access list..

Mikrotik,

I can put a XR3 and XR9 into a computer, install the linux distro of your choice on it, and give you root access.

I can also put all of the cards into routerboards for you to have access to.

I will also send you the cards if you pay the shipping charges..

Mikrotik is a router. It is simply routing packets from one network to the other. To stop this you can add a firewall filter rule on the forward chain matching packets in the private and out the public and vice versa.
