Tried upgrading hAP from 6.45.1 to 6.45.5. Result: Not enough space for upgrade!
I am running 6.45.1 ... I do not dare to upgrade to 6.45.2 due to SPF+ problems on 4011. I use SPF+ port for WAN.Upgrade your RouterOS too, the authentication process is different in new versions
It works! Todays update to 1.0.11 fixes the problem.JanezFord: Update your app to version 1.0.11 if you cannot connect to ROS >= 6.45:

Based on the new HW offload
I also have difficulties

Same here. No v2.4 just 2.5rc2.Hi becs,
When I try to upgrade CSS326-24G-2S+RM from the interface, the "Download & Upgrade" button is grayed out and Latest Available Version is 2.5rc2.
Will it also be possible to run swOS on older CRS switches like CRS125-24G-1S-RM ?Yes!Does that mean that there will be a new swOS release
Make sure you are not using fastrack .... my 2011 simple queues work fine on v6.35.2 but without fastrack.Using v6.35.2 on my 2011UiAS-2HnD
Simple queues not working
This is great! ...*) firewall - added "/interface list" menu which allows to create list of interfaces which can be used as in/out-zone matcher in firewall (CLI only);
/interface bridge settings set use-ip-firewall=yes use-ip-firewall-for-vlan=yes
When will RB260GSP start shipping? Also any info on RB850Gx2 shipping date? The April Newsletter is here!

I belive you aks too much of the cheapest and smallest of current mikrotiks ... choose more powerfull product if you intend to run l2tp server with 90mbit/s traffic. You ask too much of the little 751U.MikroTik it can not?
I was talking in general, not just for MTCWE but also for MTCNA and MTCRE, ...how about you get actual quotes from trainer near you?
Anyway, to attend MTCWE or MTCRE you have to have MTCNA certification be cause you need to know what RotuerOS is and how to work with it.
read discussion here:16MB flash? is it enough?
Is flash size 128mb also mistake? rb450g had 512mb ... a successor would be expected to have same or better characteristics ... more ram is welcome.RAM frequency is 400MHz, CPU is 500MHz, it was a mistake in the brochure. We will fix the online version.
Why reduce NAND on RB850Gx2 compared to RB450G ??Product presentation: http://mum.mikrotik.com/presentations/IT14/it14.pdf

Seriously???? You put your equipment in guests rooms?I would love to have some "dynamic" message capability. For example in a hotel:
-your breakfast is ready
-your taxi arrived
There are documented issues with AES256 on v6.10 ... try AES128 instead and see if it works ...upgraded RB2011UiAS-RM to 6.10 - looking ok with the exception of all L2TP/IPSEC tunnels that won't come up.
Damn ... will have to figure out something else to have it wall mounted for a customer .... thanks for your info.
Just looked at the bottom of mine... no holes.
Please removed as soon as possible from that horrible OS, this problem is an example, test any version of linux and forget about these problems.
We do!Yes another mistake, correctly is 802.11a/n5GHz 802.11b/g/nSite 2 - R11e-5HnD (802.11b/g/n miniPCI-e card with u.fl connectors. 5GHz, MMCX, larger heatsink)
Who makes proofreading?
Lets make a poll ... I vote for WLC ..Which one would you prefer ?Or finishing off Wireless ControllerRealy good news! You've to clean code while integrating .ac
No, it is not dualcore ... the CPU in this device is said to be QCA9558 that is mips-be architecture... it is rated to 720MHz as you can see in this link.It looks great. What is supposed price? What frequency of CPU? Is that dualcore?
I believe it would be more realistic to upgrade 4xx series multi-minipci routerboards with 9xx series CPU ... but I think this wont happen because of announced 935 model ...When you plan release dualcore routerboards?
Why not use dual chains on dual band setup?if you'll use R11e-2HPnD for 2G network, i won't recommend using dual chains with dual band setup.
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Wi ... ControllerIs there actually any official statement from MT on this? ("Yeah, we will consider thinking about doing it in the future" doesn't count)Not currently. Mikrotik is working on a controller feature, but it isn't out yet.
You cant .... unifi requires its own controler running on windows/mac machine ....I thought about using Unifi, but I didn't know that I can use Mikrotik products as a controller. Could you pleas give me some information regarding this? How can I do this?
... and modified case if you want to use 2 cards with both chains - 4 antennas total, but only 3 holes in CA411-711 and CA433 ...Now for you is only possible make dual band AP with rb493xx + two cards...
Can you post a link? ... I've only seen draft version of features on mikrotik wiki ...I see this available for purchase as a license but does anyone know if its been released?
We have confirmed a VLAN problem. It is fixed in v6.7
I upgraded a few devices today including rb800, rb2011uas-2hnd-in, rb493g, rb450g, bunch of rb711ua-2hnd, rb751g-2hnd, rb751u-2hnd and everything works well .. at least for now.I'm afraid to upgrade, it seems that 6.5 has more new bugs than correction of known bugs.
you can set your own dns server and add bogus IP addresses for *.facebook.com or other stuff you really hate (microsoft?)... force your users to use only your dns server and that's it.bump*** no reply??
Try to disable as much packages as you don't use ... check under /system packagesIt's not normal. i am also using RB751U-2HnD RouterOS v6.3 & it showing 15.6 MB free memory.
Apart from a short disconnect when switching between APs, which can be sometimes a bit annoying, this will work just fine.just set up second AP with same SSID, your wireless devices will switch over to it if primary AP signal is not that great.
I hope you are wrong too... v7 is at least 2 years away... + the time to kill all the bugs with new version... I can't wait that long, I risk loosing customers to competition.I have no clue but I would speculate that it comes in v7.
I hope I'm wrong though.
You also can add rb800, rb711, rb450g, rb751g, rb751u to the list ... all of these loose interface graphs with every reboot...I can also confirm that on all three of my RB2011s the interface graphs are erased on each reboot.
It will run OK except I don't think it can manage full 50Mbps through the VPN ... I've tested it on 20mbit link ad cpu usage during VPN transfer was quite high ...Hey,
Does the RB2011UAS-RM have enough power to act as a NAT/Firewall for FIOS running at 50Mbps and also to run a VPN?
Host it as torrents only and bandwith should not be an issue any more ...
our download servers only host new versions. also hosting old versions would futher kill our bandwidth, but we may think about it.
Has anyone tested the new RB2011UAS-2HnD for this issue?I guess my suggestion to anyone wanting to try one of these units would be to just go with something else since we can't seem to get rid of this crazy noise inside these boxes.
