Re: Routerboard RB2011 Fiber link

What type of SFP's are you using at both ends? Do they show up on the miktotik under the SFP option under the SFP interface?
Are you getting a link ? Send/Receive around the right way?

I've used a large number of different types of SFP's with mikrtik's and they don't seem to be fussy at all.

Re: IPv6 /127

There have been multiple discussions on the forums on the use of /127s with MikroTik. Its currently not supported, and as far as I remember, no support was promised. /31s for IPv4 are not supported either. Currently /64s should be used for PtP links. Yes /31's not working as most other routers and ...

Re: IPv6 /127

first things first: initially /127 addressing where considered harmful for IPv6. http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3627 there are other RFC documents about IPv6 that will state that /127 address space should not be used. now when this is stated, you can use other than the address that ends with 0. for ...

Re: v6rc14 released

I don't know if its a BUG on RC14 but I have a RB2011-UAS and I have a 3G USB Stick Attached to it via MicroUSB -> USB Adapter. When I go into PPP Client to set up the Dialer for it I don't get an option for the USB Interface.. only the serial interface. If I go into System/Resources/USB I can see t...

Re: RouterOS v6.0rc13 released

A couple of days ago I upgrade to rc13 and suddenly on my PS3 I would get disconnected from the PSN network all the time. So I downgraded back to rc12 and the problem has gone away. I have upgraded/downgraded a number of times and each time I go to rc13 the PSN network will disconnect after a short ...

Re: RouterOS v6rc10 pre-released

I have a RB751U-2HnD running NAT to a PPPoE Connection on v6rc10 After a while (say 5-6 Hours) the web server gets slow and starts to kick me out of the web interface all the time. Then after a day or so the web server is not available at all. There is no excess memory usage. nothing in logs. Winbox...

Re: /31 not useable on Mikrotik

You can do /31 on Mikrotik. Set interface to 10.99.99.1/32 and set broadcast to the remote end e.g. 10.99.99.2 do the opposite on the remote end. It is not clear to me. Can you please give us a config example? Thanks, oreggin Umm.. that is a work around (hack) for Mikrotik -> Mikrotik as far as I k...

/31 not useable on Mikrotik

People where talking about /31's not being useable on Mikrotiks quite a while ago. It is not like they are new in the internet world at all but when I was testing them even on recent software versions /31's would not work. With IPv4 being in short supply these dating using 2 IP Addresses on a PTP li...

Re: RB2011L-IN not responding (DOA?)

Are you sure you used port 2-10 to connect, not port 1, which is firewalled? Your problem sounds slightly different than in the original post, as bhorrock wasn't able to reset it. I had no Link at all on the FE ports when anything was plugged in to when I got the Router . GE Ports came up but could...

Re: RB2011LS-IN + cisco module

I also tried a 100M Single Fibre SPF in our RB2011LS-IN and it didn't seem to pass traffic either :-(. I tried changing all the settings and no data passed thru at all. (but link was up)

Re: RB2011L-IN not responding (DOA?)

Looking for suggestions since my new RB2011L-IN is basically non-responsive. An RB751G purchased at the same time works perfectly. I received a 2011L-IN with exactly the same problem as you described. I had to reset it (with the little reset switch) before it started working. Maybe a common problem...

I have just experiences the same bug as you. I set it all up.. connected Cisco 887 Router and Assigned PD Network Correctly via PPPoE and I could surf the internet on IPv6 100% . Disconnected Cisco and reconnected and no PD now :-( Running 5.17 on same Hardware. Makes IPv6 via PPPoE useless as it do...

/ip firewall filter add chain=input protocol=icmp action=drop Place it at the top of input chain Blocking all ICMP is BAD.. I wouldn't suggest people doing this! Re: OSPFv3 Missing /128 Routes in 5.1

I also have come across this problem (RB1100AHx2 running 5.17) I think. Please can this be fixed in the next version :-) Also the "work around" for cisco.. I don't really like advertising connected routes into OSPF3 (and I don't use cisco anyway) :-) IPv4 OSPF works 100% IPv6 OSPF3 the bri...
