Re: Caps-man with vlans and cAP with vlans on switch chip problem

Thank you mkx,

I removed that interface.
Please tell me, on the cAPs, should I put the management ip on the bridge itself, activate vlan filtering and set PVID to vlan 4 (management vlan) ?

Re: Caps-man with vlans and cAP with vlans on switch chip problem

Thank you for your suggestions mducharme. Setting the bridge in the /interface wireless cap on every cAP did the trick. It worked instantly. (As I predicted, the problem was between the computer and the chair :) ) I confused the bridge setting in datapath used for capsman forwarding with the local b...

Caps-man with vlans and cAP with vlans on switch chip problem

Hello, I am currently trying to setup a small test network as follows: 1) Main router as internet gateway and caps manager with trunk port to the first cAP in the daisy chain (i know.. not good practice to daisy chain network devices, but it's a lab) 2) cAP with vlan settings on switch chip, trunk p...

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

Hi anuser, For me, the speed is up with this patch. I get solid 250/125mbps on 5.8ghz (witch is my current internet speed from the ISP) and about 150/100mbps on 2.4ghz. My current config is this (with blanked macs/radio names): # oct/11/2018 21:34:46 by RouterOS 6.44beta17 # software id = 1239-VPQ9 ...

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

Thank you for the reply nescafe2002 !! Removing the control-channel-width and extension-channel=Ceee did the trick. Now I get solid 220mbps download and about 100mbps upload. Still not great ac speeds but better then before. (Removing the band and setting the country did not impact the transfer spee...

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

Hi, I just installed os 6.44beta9 (with firmware update) The wifi performance is very poor. Currently I use CAPsMAN . I tried anuse suggestion. No luck. Re: RSTP, multiple Vlans with cisco switches

Thank you for the response shaoranrch . After some tweaking, I ended up going for a single cable to one of the Cisco SW (typical Router on a stick setup). So no more PVST+ related loops and problems for me. And no more redundancy (the second SW is connected only to the first SW) From what I read abo...

RSTP, multiple Vlans with cisco switches

Hi there, Let me start by saying, I come from a Cisco background, and RouterOS's way of treating vlans/trunk/access ports is a little new to me. I've been setting up a network for a client of mine and i have run into some problems. My intent is to setup a "simple" network consisting of a m...

Dual WAN router, ping problem.

Hi. I just finished setting up a routerboard (450g) to act as a internet router with 2 GW and fail-over following the Improved netwach script. First gw has a static IP (cable connected from media converter directly). The second one is a ADSL line connected to a modem/wifi router witch in turn gives ...
