Hotspot and MAC Spoofing?

Hi all, I use hotspot on my network. It both uses wifi and lan. But now, somebody is trying to access to the internet, by mac spoofing. Here is what I've found in my logs: ... jul/22 22:48:12 hotspot, info, debug 00:13:D3:E9:08:AA (192.168.2.52): trying to log in by mac jul/22 22:48:12 hotspot,info,de...

Re: RB433AH not booting

I have succesfully "netinstalled" the OS. It recognized the key, but now it says level 5, baut it was level 4. I don't know if it has a valid key or not. It prints the following: software-id: "4KXK-LTT" upgradable-to: v4.x nlevel: 5 features: And there is no expires in when I checking through winbox...

RB433AH not booting

Dear All, Please help me find a solution! I've configured 433AH, and it worked well. After that, I've shut it down and then inserted an SD card. Next time, it did not boot up. I've put a consol on it, and it says: /etc/rc.d/rc.start : 5: /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit: not found System halted. It sounds very ...

IP routing

Hi!

I'm going to install and place a MT at a serverhotel. I'll get 2 IP addresses. The first ip will be the MT's address in the hotel. I'd like to route the second IP address to the other end of wireless connection. How is it possible? (p2p connection)

Thanks!

I've just checked that documentation on counting natted hosts. According to this documentation, there's no way in mikrotik to prevent sharing the internet connection, exept the tricks you told me. (connection limits) Altough I'll try to contact the developer of the mentioned software, to tell me how...

Thanks for the fast answers. Yes I mean that. So, the reason of this idea was that, there is a linux based os similar to MikroTik called Wnet Router Project. It can limit users, and prevent sharing their connection. It's a 100% working thing, but offcourse they don't realy want to share this knowled...

Prevent customers sharing their connection

Hi all!

Does anybody knows how to prevent users(customers), sharing their internet connection? There is a solution for this, but I don't know it.

Thanks for your help!

Well, Thank you very much for the answers! I think it'll be solved by the PPPoE protocol.
Riker: Thanks for you help! On this weekend I'll try to solve this, and if I'll fail, I'll drop you a mail with all the information.
And thanks again for everybody!

I thought it can be solved by routing. Or by use of a routing protocol. So there is no way to do it in that way?

I'm sorry for that, but you're missunderstood me I think. I'd like to do it without NAT. I want the client, not to have any local IP. So, the client shuld have the 10.0.0.3 address set in his ip settings. And it's not a kind of NAT thing I think. It should be routed somehow. And this is the question...

Routing public IPs

Hi all! I need some help on routing. I have four public IPs to use, all with one gateway. The thing I'd like to do is sounds quite simple: I'd like to give an IP, from the four public IPs, to one of my clients behind the router. For example: WAN: Address: 10.0.0.2/28 Gateway:10.0.0.1/28 LAN: Address...

CM9 (Atheros AR5213) - Mikrotik 2.8rc2

Hi All! I have two licensed 2.8 mikrotik boxes. I also have two boxes with MT 2.8rc2. I'd like to test the CM9 with the 2.8rc2. In the list of resources I see Chipset AR5212 instead of AR5213. I can't get it work with the two CM9. Maybe it's because of the old version? I'm not able to try yet the CM...
