RB2011 <> RB2011 connection over SFP module s-53lc20d

Hello! I have a problem with connection between two RB's 2011 through SFP optical module. I have bought s-53lc20d modules, to connect over 1 fiber pigtail. These are modules recommended to connection between RB2011 by Mikrotik: http://routerboard.com/S-3553LC20D RB's fw is 6.34.3 on both sides. Conn...

mikrotik bandwidth test - stopping after few hours

Hello, there! I have done test of connection between two mikrotiks rb2011-rb2011. Due to cpu limitations, it was tcp, 50M, one direction test. Test was started ok, cpu usage reach 100% level, but traffic monitored at eth interface is going stable on 50M level. 10M level of one direction, tcp traffic...

AH1100x2 - PoE powering

Hello; I've got a question to hardware people: MT 1100AH x2 contains port eth13 as Poe. I want to power on through this port, with 24V supply. Q1: Can I power it on from 100MBps/ passive PoE supply? Also, there is information: RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet 1000Base-T port with PoE (Ether13) = Jumper 5. Q2: ...

Re: nv2 vs N problem

SNR up to 34-36dBm (if power is fully open), of course I decreased to -50/-55 both chains. I have tried all freq's - same ccq/ mcs level. Hard to understand is fact, that at N (non nv2) mode ccq is about 100%. Enabling nv2 - back to 65-67% level (both sides). It looks like software problem, if clear...

nv2 vs N problem

Hello; I have a p2p link, based on rb912 (wireless built-in), good antennas, pigtails, fw 6.6. On nv2 (N only), I have stable connection, with CCQ 67/67%. Transfers HD up to 120-130MBps @ tcp protocol. Ping at 2-15, avg 5ms - this is quite good and stable link. Today I have wasted my day because of ...

Re: router was rebooted whitout proper shutdown by watchdog

Yes, I have same issue; my ptp link on sextant G reboots itself with 'router was rebooted wth proper shutdown by watchdog'. Watchdog is already switched ON (with no ip of watch address). Due to manual, enabling w-dog causes reboot on kernel panic in this case. Today I have tried switch off w-dog, re...

Re: spoofing problem

I'm just 'loud thinking' about changing spoofing omni antena to baseball ;) Looks similar ;)))) Works a little bit worse on 5GHz ;))))))

Re: spoofing problem

janafields: I'm just doing that job as well since few days, generating multipy SSID base station, I tkink idea is good, but rather temporarily; thanks for advice. At the moment, it works. Point is, that in simple MT scan you can see actual usage of exact ssid. Generating 50 ssids and only one really...

Re: spoofing problem

Unfortunately, I have MTs only on base stations; management frame protection seems to be very good, but not at my network. He's using exactly the same frequency. Yes, I'm using WPA2/PSK security options. I have tried to find out location of spoofing (with 'mobile MT with antenna') - there is one bui...

Re: 5.17 NV2 key exchange timeout

I have had same problem, with 'key exchange timeout'.
Worse, it was 'group key....' - all stations disconnects from base station.
It happens ONLY at WPA/TKIP encryption.

Working on disabled encryption or finally WPA2/EAP encryption solved this problem at my network.

spoofing problem

Hello, there! Unfortunately, it has been started. Mean spoofing, when I use unlicensed freqs, as we all use - 5GHz. I have a lot of base stations, antennas, built on Mikrotik boards. It works great, until new wireless company goes 'on my terrain'. There is a bad guy, which sets up wireless card same...
