I want to replace a BaseBox 2 with the new NetMetal ac² RBD23UGS-5HPacD2HnD

The baseBox2 has a single dual chain radio, while the NetMetal ac2 seems to be 2 separate radios. I want to use both NetMetal radios on 2.4 GHz for a 180 degree coverage each on our large trucks, one antenna on each side. I initially wanted to create a Bridge and place both wlan1 and wlan2 in that b...

Re: NetInstall -> Flashing with RouterOS 6.45.1

Thx wrkq, but that didn't work for me For me it was solved by switching the laptop ethernet port to 100Mbps full duplex. Tried that, at 10Mbps just to make sure packets were not coming "too fast" for the RB2011, but same result. This time I'm using a newer RB2011 hardware, but same problem...

Hello Mikrotik support,

Should I re-post this in a different thread ?

I was not sure where to post this. Also, if there's documentation how to flash a config, I could program my own tool to do it. (i.e. What is the compression format ? Do I just TFTP the file over ? Is there a command to issue ?)

OK, I will try this. I'll remove the bridge & the ports from the switch and have them managed by the CPU (i.e. alone on their ethernet segment). I understand ARP, but I've never used the ARP proxy functionality before. So if the ports are CPU managed, you're saying that ARP requests will be prox...

There is an auto detection system, to find out if the device uses POE, and what type of it. As long as the PoE out port is set as "auto on" (or "off"), You can plug anything you want. Hi Paternot, But isn't what you're describing 802.3af ? The standard ($expensive$) power over e...
