Upgraded to RouterOS 7.10 . Changed from wap 60 to Cube lite. RSSI 10dB better now (-55 instead of -65), as you could see in the attachement, after 01-08 18:00. But The link has the same drops. So, any other idea? Thanks

One thing that nobody mentioned: vlan interfaces are "dumb" tag injectors. They don't implement any logic. Just inject tag or strip tag, depending on the direction and that pose a risk of tagging already tagged frames. And I am not talking about QinQ. I am talking about 3, 4 or even 5 lay...

There isn't much odd in your config apart from configuring one bridge (the 100Mbps one) without VLANs while configuring the other one (the 1Gbps one) with VLANs but then use vlan interface to bridge them both together. SXT 5HPnD-HG is simply the AP version of SXT 5HPn. It's better than SXT 5HPnD-SA r2 in some cases, and it's a bit cheaper (why?). SXT 5HPnD-HG shape is longer than SXT 5HPn, but I think that antenna gain is almost the same.

Hallo, i made this simple script in order to backup daily the router settings and usermanager database, using sd-card as buffer in order to reduce router nand's use. It is especially useful when yuo plan to enlarge usermanager database until gigabyte size, making backup into router's nand not more p...

Today I tried to change my RB493G (with pppoes, usermanager, ecc) with RouterOS v5.24, to another identical device with RouterOS v.6.2 and micro-sd for usermanager database (the previous one used usb flash disk). I first madee "export compact file=router.rsc" and "/tool user-manager d...

Re: RB750G and PoE

I tested mikrotik gigabit poe adapter and I found it would only make 100Mbps connection between two gigabit devices. How would it work if it uses only 1236 poles for data and 4578 for power? I know gigabit link uses all 8 poles for data.

Re: PCC and advanced Routing failover without Scripting

If someone is interested in it, I'll post my configuration. However it's basically the same of Mikrotik wiki, except for PCC rules, because "both address" setting doesn't work for me.

PCC and advanced Routing failover without Scripting

Hallo, I'm Nicola, an italian wisp. I refer to wiki article http://wiki.mikrotik.com/index.php?title=Advanced_Routing_Failover_without_Scripting&diff=19792&oldid=18512 written by Chupaka (who I thanks). I spent a lot of time on this configuration, to make it work: troubles were associated wi...
