Re: DNS Redirect using Regexp

Thank you! I swear I had found a post I believe from you in another thread with this kind of syntax as well.. and I tried it and it wasn't working... try again after this and now it is... so maybe I just had a typo.. It has been a long day. Thanks for the quick reply! There are no dots in DNS packet...

I am trying to take all .test domains (Example blah.test) and use the layer 7 to redirect this to another dns server So I used to ju...

For anyone getting on Mikrotik's case about bugs and having a hard time with their production equipment failing / crashing or otherwise... Lets get real, look through the forums, do some research. Is v5.26 also contain latest vulnerabilities?

I understand 5.26 is quite a bit behind the times these days, but also 5.x was being updated at one point fixing vulnerabilities.. is this no longer the case? Or was 5.26 so old that it didn't have the compromised ntp issue? I am just wondering if I should be going through the effort of upgrading th...

Re: How to set fanspeed ? manual fan mode...

it is not possible to control FAN speed manually on any of RouterBOARD products. Some support automatic fan speed control, but that is it. Ok thanks for that info. What is the difference between auto and manual then ? ( fan mode ) Does the 'fan-on-threshold' work? I might be able to just set the fa...

How to set fanspeed ? manual fan mode...

I have an 1100AHx2 which is being used in a small office since it has the nice hardware encryption. However the fan spinning up and down frequently on its own is driving people crazy. Seeing as the temp for the device is way low on its threshold i was going to try and set the fan speed manually and ...

ROS 5.26 on RB1100AHx2 / Hardware Encryption ?

Hi All, I have a RB1100AHx2 and I think I was reading somewhere that the Hardware Acceleration for Encryption does not work in v5.26 can someone confirm this? Then if I have to upgrade to v6, is there a recommended version, seems v6.10 wont let me use AES256, so maybe v6.9 ? I have been testing 6.x ...

L2TP over IPSec / PPP Secret Caller ID

Hi All, I am trying to lock down an L2TP over IPSec VPN road warrior using an IP Range and MAC address. (or at least one of the two.) Reading up the Caller ID states that if used with L2TP then it is a IP Address it is expecting. This works, however if I try to an IP Range, it does not work. "F...

/ping interface= issue ?

Hi All, I have been working in implementing a failover for two different incoming ISP's... I couldn't use netwatch since it doesn't seem to support an "interface=" argument that I can see.. So if I wanted to ping 8.8.8.8 I can't seem to specify which interface netwatch should use... So I f...

l2tp over ipsec - Can't connect more then 1 client...

Hi All, Not sure if this is an easy one or just stupid user error on my behalf.. I have a RB2011L (mipsbe) running v5.25 configured to handle L2TP over IPSEC for some iOS devices (iphones, ipads and mac laptops) One client can connect and works great, but anytime I have a second client connected the...

Portforward masking source IP?

Hi All, I have a server on my LAN which checks that all connections are 'local' and in the same Subnet. I have a few VPN connections that need to reach this server. Is there a way for me to port forward from the mikrotik to an internal server on the same network but mask the source IP and make it lo...
