Re: RB250GS swos last version

260 code doesn't work on the 250gs. We're looking for the last supported code version for the 250gs.

Re: Dual band 951-like routerboard?

@Kreacher, Much obliged for the information and links, but we're still falling short on the gig Ethernet port count and horsepower there. The cases are nice enough, but I think all the extra holes would start to bother me after a while. :) As I mentioned initially, the 951G-2HnD is everything needed...

Re: Dual band 951-like routerboard?

@JanezFord, That's the issue I run into when thinking to build my own. Brand loyalty just isn't worth the hassle, time investment, and cost of all that put together, not to mention the resulting case wouldn't survive the 'does it look nice' test. Mikrotik has a great product here and the price-point...

Re: Dual band 951-like routerboard?

@normis, Thank you for confirming that dual band soho packaged devices are on your roadmap. If you could provide an ETA for such a device that would be even better. ;) Unfortunately the example you posted would result in a WAP with a single Ethernet port, something that just won't work for my use ca...

Dual band 951-like routerboard?

I have found the 951G-2HnD to be a fabulous wap/router for soho and residential environments, with one real drawback. The 2.4ghz spectrum is rather crowded in a lot of places, but not all commonly connected devices in our environments will support 5ghz instead. Can anyone tell me if a dual band (2.4...

Re: RB751U 2HnD to version 6.0-rc3 with variable processing

I have submitted the supout as requested.
The traffic in this case was http, generated by running a speedtest at http://speedtest.net.

Re: RB751U 2HnD to version 6.0-rc3 with variable processing

I'm seeing similar issues with the same release on the same hardware. At near-rest (traffic through the device best measured in k) the device seems to consume 5-10% cpu. Under moderate load (1 client, 25mbit through wireless to cable modem on ether1) the cpu usage gets up around 100% and winbox and ...

OSPF selecting higher metric of 2 E2 routes

I have an RB450G running 5.19. It is an ospf neighbor on an ipv4 only network with 5 neighbors all in 1 area (0.0.0.0, backbone). On this link are 2 ASBRs that redistribute the same prefixes (learned from BGP) into OSPF as type 2 externals. Router 1 (10.240.128.4) advertises the prefixes with a metr...
