Re: v7.14.1 [stable] is released!

I suspect there is an issue with 7.14 and CRS354. After upgrading CAPs would log brief disconnects to CAPSMAN and internet performance was poor. Downgrading to 7.13.5 restored performance.

Re: mDNS between VLANs with just bridge filters - Look Mum, no containers!

I put 224.0.0.251 into GMP and it does not show up in the MDB table in the switch. I put 224.0.1.251, 224.1.1.251 and 224.1.0.251 into GMP at the same time and they *do* show up in the MDB table in the switch. Re: mDNS between VLANs with just bridge filters - Look Mum, no containers!

Looks hacky to me. Why not just use PIM-SM? I've shared PIM-SM config sample on this forum a few times, works on ROS v7 latest stable. PIM-SM won't pass IPv4 mDNS. Lord knows I have tried to force it to no avail. PIM-SM works fine for a Chromecast as it uses mDNS and discovery compatible with PIM-S...

Re: mDNS between VLANs with just bridge filters - Look Mum, no containers!

Is there any (unintended?) downside doing it this way?
So far I don't think so, I am happy to hear arguments against doing it this way though. I can only think of a misconfiguration or getting the last drop rule wrong (or disabled) causing issues.

There is no harm in using ROS7. ROS6 is a legacy version now and any new fixes will only appear in 7. Export your config (don't forget the show-sensitive flag), save it off the switch and upgrade. See what happens. You can downgrade the switch by wiping it, installing your old ROS6.49.10 image and r...

I'll try Zerotier next. One approach for ZeroTier is to use the flow rules to restrict the network to ONLY multicast discovery (e.g. 224.0.0.0/24) & then bridge ZT interfaces to the desired VLAN. More conceptual here, I haven't test this. I have switched from Wireguard to Zerotier on both Mikro...

Bridge-To-Bridge joiner. You can do that with two local EoIP interfaces. You can't as the tunnel number can't be the same for 2 interfaces. Try disabling the PPPoE interface, if it still works then your good to go. Disable your PPPoE interface and put a DHCP client on the ethernet interface you are using for the NBN. You can use Time under access list rule, never tried it, but should work. That won't work. And the kid control feature as well.
