Re: ANOTHER Kernel failure when running data on 5ghz wireless n or ac - RB912UAG-2HPnD + R11e-5HacD x 2

I was directed here after starting a post about this very same issue. I've got the same problem with the same hardware combination.

Has anyone heard any official word from Mikrotik about this?

An interesting read indeed!

I guess it's time to contact my Mikrotik vendor and see what happens.

RB912UAG-2HPnD kernel failure in previous boot

Hi Everybody, I've got a roll-your-own Wireless Access point here at home based on a Routerboard RB912UAG-2HPnD (802.11b/g/n) and a recently installed R11e-5HacD miniPCI-e card for 802.11ac capabilities. It's been working very well for the last few years in 802.11b/g/n mode, very stable. Of late, I'...

Re: EoIP & IPsec... trying to get it going again.

Add a specific route for each remote IP to use the EoIP interface and make sure you source NAT only targets traffic leaving (out) the other interface with dst address of 0.0.0.0/0 (default). This will make the routing side source the EoIP traffic to originate from the right IP and prevent it from b...

Re: EoIP & IPsec... trying to get it going again.

MTU changes when you enable IPSec but the default value should function. The addresses you gave are private IPs. If they are really private IPs can you draw a picture of how these devices connect. EoIP (GRE) doesn't place nice with NAT but it is possible to traverses it (1:1 NAT). IPSec however wil...

EoIP & IPsec... trying to get it going again.

Hi Everybody, Some time ago I successfully had an encrypted EoIP tunnel between two Mikrotik routers (together with IPsec encryption) working over a public WiFi network. Since V6.37 (I think), I've not been able to get it working with IPsec. I'm using the IPsec Secret field in the EoIP Interface to ...

Re: 6.30 released

If I understood correctly then just look at dynamically created ipsec peers. one should be with address 0.0.0.0 other with eoips remote address. But since L2TP client uses the same IP address then of course peer setting with more specific IP will be used not 0.0.0.0. So obviously in such setups you...

Re: 6.30 released

EoIP and L2Tp connects from the same IP?
Yes... the client I used for testing is "behind" one of the routers that hosts the EoIP endpoint, NAT would make it appear to have the public IP address of the router. The public IP addresses are used at each end of EoIP.

Re: 6.30 released

I added the IPsec key option to my EoIP tunnel interfaces... and it seem to break the L2TP server. :-( EoIP works fine with IPsec. "Windows error 792: The L2TP connection attempt failed because security negotiations timed out." Is an IPsec enhanced EoIP tunnel mutually exclusive with an L2...

Does the TP-Link respond on its IP address whilst the PPPoE session is active? If so, it should just be a matter of adding an IP address in that network on ether6 on the RB2011 and away you go...
