Yes, I am using radius server. But previously I had an x86 machine with ROS 5.22 and it worked fine. +1! At first i try to use CCR as NAS server and have the same problem... But i use PPTP connections in my network. As soon as the number of VPN became more than 200-300 pc`s and traffic exceeded 200...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Does it means that CCR not suppurted jumbo frames?( Hi! How much traffic goes through CCR? Summary aggregated traffic is 1 - 1.2 Gbit/s I`m worried about interface between CCR & NAS (x86 router on Intel i7, Intel Pro/1000PT NIC) - Now 400 Mbit/s and 50 000 pps goes through this link.... and i`d...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

I still have a problem with Queue Tree. As soon as i set the "parent" of the top queue to "global" - increases delays to hosts that describes by this rule. If i set as "parent" the interface - everything works fine. For example - there is running a torrent download, com...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

In the "Queue Tree" if i set parent "global" dramatically increases delays in all directions. Also increases the CPU load.

On the screenshot running ping from one interface to another.

If i disable rules all returns to normal - ping became 0 - 1 ms.

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Today i replaced my router x86-PC (Core i5 2500K 3.3Ghz) who worked as NAS server to CCR1036-12G-4S At first everything was fine. As soon as the number of VPN became more than 500-600 pc`s and traffic exceeded 250 Mbit/s the strange things began to happen: - Interfaces - Ethernet was empty. Within 3...

Re: Difference in performance between Intel Core i7 and i5

To manually assign core per interface: 1. disable RPS (/system resource rps) 2. Manually assign IRQ (/system resource irq) On "system - resourse - cpu" i can see 8 cpu`s (Intel core i7 3770 - 4 phisical cores + 4 threads by hyper threading function). Tell me please, what cpu number match ...

Re: Difference in performance between Intel Core i7 and i5

And one more question, please.

In 1core x86 router configuration on ethernet interfaces starts drops at about 80-90% CPU load (mikrotik indication)
2core - at 40-45%
4core - 25-30%
and so on ...

Why is this?

Difference in performance between Intel Core i7 and i5

There is a need for a more powerful x86 router. Price is not critical. Tell me please, is there a difference in performance between processors Intel Core i7 and i5 one generation, and working on the same frequency? for example Core i5 2500K and Core i7 2600K. Technically only difference in increased...
